As always a beautiful meal and service from all staff. Come here many times and always perfect. Even the head chef came over and said hello and asked how we were make sure everything was ok and had nice evening. Fabulous place xx

A visit for my sisters birthday. We had the roast beef dinner which didn't disappoint! Lots of veg, Yorkshire pudding and tasty gravy... Dessert was excellent, cheese boards, icecream selection and creme brulee. Great staff, food and atmosphere, food was promptly served with no long waits. A definate winner of a venue all round 👏👏👏 Top Mark's!

The Hercules was lovely. Nice interior, welcoming staff and good food. One of the nicest restaurants in our area and with its rural location, yet easy access, it offers great options. Sunday lunch for us, but I would equally consider for an evening meal. We will be back.

Friendly staff but room we sat felt busy as it was a passageway to the final dining room. Constant staff or customers passing through. Food ok .

4 retired folk having a birthday celebration lunch for one of us. It was a nice meal and friendly service. The room was acoustically fairly brash, constraining conversastion. The food was great - pleasing to look at, tasty and hot where needed. The service was fine, but without formality of any sort.

My only issue was too much salt in and on the food. Those of us trying to reduce salt in our diets should have the option to put salt on or not. Other than that, great place.

I took three elderly relatives for a meal last night. The food was served piping hot which is a rarity these days and was delicious. Also ordered extra veg which was fresh and not overcooked.Friendly staff, good service. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Had Sunday lunch and chose the roast beef and wasn’t disappointed, it was tender and delicious. Good value for money too.

All of the food was good, and most was good value - except that my wife wanted a starter as a main. She was told at the outset that the charge would be for two starters, which was acceptable. However, she was presented with 7 tiny prawns, five tiny bits of smoked salmon and five asparagus tips and a small scattering of greenery.......for which we were charged £15.95! The portion was just about acceptable as a starter, but NEVER as a main. The restaurant should be embarrassed at what was a total rip-off for that course! The other three main meals we had were all good, and the service was excellent. We have been here before, but after yesterday will think twice about a return visit, which is a shame.

Food service setting all excellent and amazing value for money

Value for money on main course was very poor, £12-95 & all you get is two very small slices of meat to say the least was dissapointing & it comes nowhere near to other Sunday lunches we've had else where
