Hudson House Seafood Restaurant and Bar

Very good food and drink at Hudson house with a lovely setting. Probably the best fish restaurant I've been to in Liverpool by some way.

We had a delightful anniversary lunch on Sunday 9th April. In elegant surroundings with friendly and attentive staff, the whole atmosphere was lovely, and the food superb. A spectacular seafood platter was followed by one of the best creme brulees I have ever tasted. Meeting the chef was a bonus, and it was fun to discuss some menu developments. We had a wonderful time and wholeheartedly recommend the food, the staff and the setting. Go as soon as you can!

Very nice higher end seafood restaurant. The staff are attentive and the food was good. Our only difficulty was locating it as there is no signage at ground level and we did not realise it was on the second floor. The hostess actually came out and flagged us down which was a nice thing to do.

The venue is gorgeous, food was delicious & staff were extremely pleasant & friendly. Only slight criticism is food came out too quickly but probably due to how quiet it was! We were one of three tables in the whole restaurant on a Friday night, slightly disappointing as lacking an atmosphere & buzz that you would expect on a Friday

went on a Saturday night. Restaurant was relatively quiet. First impressions were that the restaurant was a little bright (the lights were turned down during the meal) but the tables were well presented and very clean. The staff were very attentive without being in your face. The food was very good, well cooked. My only reservation was that there wasn't much atmosphere but this may have been the lack of bodies. Overall very good

Lovely food in a calm relaxing atmosphere on a lovely day. Lunch menu was very economic, aperol spritz was perfect and the staff were very attentive.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. I am coeliac and many restaurants offer a very restricted menu. This was not the case here there was only one dish that contained gluten. The outside space looks great for the summer. If I owned this restaurant I would seek more publicity it is seconds away from a busy area but can easily be overlooked as it is not on the main road. Also make it clear on the menu that there is such a great choice of gluten free dishes.

Great to have a new Seafood restaurant in Liverpool. Good food, great service and superb surroundings. Bit pricey but it is to be expected for seafood.

Beautiful restaurant helpful friendly knowledgeable staff artisan bread to die for (seaweed crisps too oily for my taste sorry) Sadly for them not very busy for Thursday night but meal excellent thank you

Excellent food and the staff were wonderful. Lovely surroundings will be there again. We sat near the bar looking out on the front having a pre dinner drink couldn't be any better.

Had high hopes for this restaurant, but left abit disappointed to be honest . Although everything was ok it didnt deliver any sort of wow factor at all. Tempura calamari was abit chewy and batter was not tempura, mackerel pate was ok but not enough crispy bread with it. Both mains lacked flavour , salmon cooked in plastic bag slowly at low temp was nice piece of fish but rest of plate was bland and cod was nice piece of fish too but sauce with it was bland . Both salmon and cod as fish need some bolder flavours to make the plate of food sing. Creme brulee was tasty but texture was not to my liking at all , some classics should not be messed with. Hudsons needs to up its game to survive in a very competitive market, as its a little out of the way to get any random foot fall customers. Pricing is also an issue as the food didnt match the cost of the meal.

Food was delicious but the service was poor. Our drinks took a long time to arrive, ordered bread and olives which didn't arrive, served our starter then got asked what we wanted for dessert then served the wrong main but relised before we started eating

Absolutely beautiful food , fantastic service and lovely surroundings . Highly recommend the stone bass and cod lion ..gorgeous ! And wonderful piano player !

Great Restaurant, great service and great food. No complaints. Couple of requests though. Could the breads be offered warm as a starter? The cray fish needs to be a starter or main course on its own they are so fantastic. Could the music please be a bit quieter. But fantastic place and will be back. Definitely recommend here. :)

A Fabulous range of fresh fish dishes to choose from. The waiting time was perfect and the food was of a high standard! Would highly recommend!

The food was Excellent and high class service nothing was too much trouble will most definitely booking there again soon, felt like I was back in Palma.

Food was so fresh and the service was flawless. Definitely be back to try the seafood platter as we seen it on the table next to us 😋

Food was very good. Cool looking decor. Quiet on a Monday - need to see it at the weekend to know how good it really is.

Amazing venue. Amazing food but really need to train waiting staff. Its not fair on staff not to know main certain things as everything should be perfect for the price you pay as well as to match high standard.

Lovely restaurant, the staff were very professional and very helpful, we had the seafood platter which was lovely. 10 out of 10 really hope the restaurant does well and people get a chance to experience the lovely food in a lovely setting. Will definitely be back
