very good service , very delicious, enjoy all food, will come Again
An amazing place where you can find the best Japanese food
Wonderful place with a very kind service and a great Japanese meal
The food is really nice. My fav Japanese restaurant in London.
Food in wrong order as they are too busy and the quality of the food and taste I can find other restaurants in London with same price but far more tasty ! Really disappointed
We had a great meal again, fantastic food, fantastic service, highly recommended. Very cosy, family like atmosphere. There are only few tables, make sure you book in advance.
Nice and simple restaurant has an amazing service and good quality food. Pricy but it worth to spend those money. And if you are last visitor, nobody will kick you out but patiently will wait for you to leave.
I had not been to Ikea in 10 years, only because I had not been to London in that long. The food remains delicious, and the prices remain high. However, I do believe that that price is worth it considering the quality of the food.
Very authentic Japanese food. Unaju is my favourite menu in this restaurant. If your wallet is thick enough to pay some high price then I recommend this restaurant.
Effeciientvand polite service. Convenient location and good food . Didn't order anything raw but the grilled fish was well prepared . Overall , if you are in the area and want something Japanese it's a good place to try.
A wonderful meal - great food, friendly people and immaculate service. The sashimi in particular was excellent. The restaurant itself is beautifully understated - can't wait to go back.
Authentic slice of Japan in London, from the interior decoration to atmosphere to the alert service and quality of food. Bar seating is a great option.
One of the best Japanese Restaurants I've ever tried in London. Fresh sashimi and nigiri that melt in your mouth. The tempura was good too, they didn't get soggy. Had the chirashi too and it was also good.
Quality of food and service gets better and better. Yoko Ono on next table. How good is that. This restaurant is difficult to fault. Best in class.
The sashimi set lunch I had was very fresh and well prepared. Sake good. Service was swift. Tables a little too close. Pricey for the quantities served but worth it.
We had a great night again. Great food and great service as always! Will definitely come back again. One of the best places in London for Japanese dishes.
Very traditional japanese restaurant which is quite hard to find in London. Good quality raw materials, very fresh and the service is good. I would definitely visited again next time :)
It was a great experience~ With nice food and great service Will definitely come back again Reminder: u must book the table instead of walk in.
Amazing food but not cheap. Good range of sake but limited choice of wines. Service was excellent and sushi was outstanding. Loved the waitresses in kimonos!
One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in London. On the expensive side but well worth it. The sushi and sashimi combos are a must.
Had a great time here. The sashimi is very good and I love the wagyu beef sushi. Will definitely come back. However the dessert options are quite limited.
Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in central London. Excellent as always, great service and great food. We will be back soon! Highly recommended!
the dining experience is great as usual. the service is brilliant. however, a bit disappointed about the unagu. unagi is a bit too fat and not as good as before. the beef tataki is a bit salty. but overall, still great standard
Amazing food and service as always. Looking forward going again on my next visit. The specials were all great and the waitress recommendations were excellent.
Dinner at Ikeda was delicious! Everything on the very varied menu is absolutely perfect - I could eat here every single night of the week. Extremely high quality ingredients. Not to be missed!
Superb! Loved the atmosphere, and the foods were very good and authentic. As it is located in an excellent location, I can see myself going back there again.
Best quality Sashimi in London. Pure excellence. Exquiste service in a traditional Japanese environment. Set menus at lunch time are a great option. Excellent Sake menu.
The efficiency of the service and its discretion is unparalleled. The sashimis are fantastic because the fish is of superior quality and freshness. It is pricey but may be that a consequence of the former.
Don't be put off by the no-frills decor. Ikeda serves up the best sashimi in town, by far. Service sometimes a little inattentive but it doesn't stop me from going back again and again.
First class food beautifully served.my friend and i shated Sashimi, Temura, aubergine and teriaki salmon. Delicious. I recommend the seats at the cooking bar where you can watch the excellent chefs at work.
Location is near underground station and the style of restaurant is simple but neat. The sushi and sale are awesome, and the rice is wonderful. Highly recommended!
This time it wasn't great at all like always. Most of the food on the menu that we like were unavailable. Service was very slow as there was a big group of 10-12 ppl by our side and all the attention was mostly to them and had to wait quite a while for our order to arrive at our table. Soup and noodles never arrived and had to cancel the order as we had finished eating sushi long ago.
Great service. Very fresh sashimi. Food does not come cheap but it is absolutely worth a visit!Perhaps more visits. Highly recommended to Japanese food enthusiasts!
The food and quality of service at Ikeda has always been fantastic - probably the best traditional Japanese food I have had outside Tokyo - but the decor was showing it's age after some 20 years of outstanding service. The new refurbishment brings it up to date without loosing it's classic feel. While the sushi and sashimi is absolutely top quality it is worth exploring some of the daily specials and the broader menu - which are outstanding. Listen to the staff recommendations both on the menu and the saki list ... they know what they are talking about, take great pride in the food and drink they serve, and will not steer you wrong. The combination of the excellent staff, the outstanding food, and the classic presentation come together to make a wonderfully enjoyable and memorable experience.
The service is impeccable and the food outstanding, especially the tempura! It is like stepping into Japan, I've been there several times and I can assure the quality is amazing! I will be coming back for sure.
Great food and ambience. Particularly enjoyed the sushi set and salad, with the chicken/avocado being a particular favourite. Can foresee many returns to this terrific restaurant.
My favourite restaurant in the area did not fail to deliver. The food was terrific as per usual - every time I visit I order the chicken tofu salad, the sushi set A and the thin cold udon (of which the name escapes me), amongst other dishes that strike my fancy. On this occasion, I also ordered the ox tongue and found it delicious. Overall a great dinner!
Amazing food and good service. Recommend the noodles and the grills. Easy to find, not far from Oxford circus. Limited seats, better make a reservation.
brilliant food! Super delicious unaju (really a big bowl for me)! If I am back to London, I will visit here again! One of the best Japanese restaurant here!
Very authentic Japanese food and quality of food is excellent and stable. I really enjoy the udon and tempera here, the best you can find in London.
