Were there for Sunday lunch to celebrate my Brothers birthday. Service was excellent, the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Food was excellent though the men in our party were having food envy as my mum ordered the battered Haddock which was really large and the guys ordered the special which was breaded haddock and only half the size but they said it was delicious, we all had 2 courses and drinks and the bill was very reasonable at only £85.90

Ryan was lovely but the blonde waitress (sorry never got her name) took our wine glasses and drink menu away before checking if we where 18 and just guessed that we wernt, we then had to ask for a drinks menu and then she stared at us when another waitress gave us alcohol. Overall great Experian will be back.

Good quality food, good price and good service. Not the smoothest, but staff were friendly and communcative which goes a long way to make up for some slightly disjointed food delivery! Definitely will be back.

We has a lovely birthday celebration meal here. The decor is very nice and the staff are very pleasant. Our food was fantastic across the menu. The only downside is the painfully slow service. It took half and hour for our order to be taken and almost another half an hour to receive our starters... although to be fair, the waiter ensured that the children’s meals arrived more promptly. However, this was the only downside from a lovely evening.

We have visited this restaurant on many occasions as it is our local. Standard of service and food below average to what we are used to. Waited over 40 minutes for food, drinks not being delivered and having to ask for them again. I would have to consider not returning for a while. Hopefully things will improve

Had to prompt staff to come to table to take our drinks order, waited ages for food. A party of 12 were in and they only got desserts at 3.50pm and they were seated from noon! There was a communion on so not sure if that and large table numbers holding things up. Larger outside area required too. Food was ok not great. I had fish and chips and the chips were more like wedges and not cooked well. The pink gin with lemonade was really nice and well presented with fresh fruit.

Shocking! We waited 55 mins and after asking for menus and to take our drinks orders several times we finally left. Didn’t even receive an apology. Wasted my mums birthday dinner. Heard other tables asking how long their food would be and others cancelling desserts as they couldn’t wait any longer. Won’t be back!

Great restaurant! Loved the Gluten Free and vegetarian options. Having Coeliac disease and being vegetarian is not easy to cater for but this restaurant does it so well. Had to send back the GF pasta to be cooked further as was undercooked but second time round it was perfect! Pre Theatre great options and great value for money! This is my 2nd visit to the Redstones and I will return again in the future!

One main course excellent, the other appallingly bad, overcooked, greasy, did not meet the menu description at all. All other courses were very good - starters and dessert.

Pleasant but expensive for what we got. It was also very quiet for a Sunday lunchtime, perhaps a Set Sunday Lunch menu would help draw more custom.

I took my husband to the Redstone for his birthday and was quite disappointed. We ordered 2 pints of draft diet coke which tasted disgusting. We spoke to the waiter and they suggested 2 bottles of diet coke instead. We ordered our meal and the starters took 30 minutes to come. My husband ordered chicken kebab for his main course and when it came he was surprised to see that the chicken kebab consisted of 3 small pieces of chicken with vegetables in between a portion of rice and a portion of salad and at a cost of £16.95 we felt this was very over priced. The food was lovely so we didn't say anything. We got the bill and i noticed that the 2 pints of draft diet coke was still on the bill instead if the bottles so I spoke to the waitress who apologised for the mistake and went away to sort it. She came back and said all the drinks had been deducted as we complained about the first drinks. I don't think we will go back which is a shame as the food and restaurant were very nice.

Food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. We went with our 1-year-old and felt very welcome which hasn’t always been the case at other places we’ve been to eat. They’ve also got good high chairs. We’ll be back here. Highly recommend.

My husband got a piece of wood which looked like a tooth pick in his lasagne which he had in his mouth..and we were told it was a rosemary stock not convinced ..shocked it wasn't even taken off the bill..had the cheek to still charge us for the lasagne...

Service was excellent. Nice place. But don’t think I’d go back for pasta. Much better Italians locally. But can’t fault the hotel or service. I’d try a pizza or burger if I go back.

Poor service- waited over 20 mins for a pint while they changed keg and offered no alternative or apology. Beer sat at bar for 5 mins while waiting staff walked past it to clear tables Sat in cold area with no heater. Long wait for food which was cold and undercooked when arrived. Mixed grill came without steak Pasta cold and tasteless Chips still raw potato in middle Chilli and cheese chips with very little chilli and cheese Overall a very disappointing experience after hearing good reviews
