About Il Siciliano
About the restaurant
There are Italian restaurants all over the North West, and Rossendale is no exception, but few of them can offer what Il Siciliano can. Their take on Italian cuisine is a tribute to their native Sicily, and they like to take the time that they feel that the dishes deserve. That means fresh ingredients, cooked by an all-Italian kitchen staff, and served to Italian tastes rather than British ones. When you arrive at Il Siciliano on Bury Road, go for the sanguinaccio al carciofi, a Sicilian-style black pudding that is more Messina than Bury Market, before following it with a chef’s selection of fresh mixed seafood flambeed with white wine and cooked in a tomato and chilli sauce. Make the journey out to the centre of Rawtenstall for an authentic Italian meal: just remember to book your table in advance, as they can get very busy.
