Imperial Restaurant is all about the East. It’s a glorious little eatery within Croydon Airport Visitor Centre, named after the first international airline to fly from Croydon to India and the Far East. As such, the menu is made up of Indian and Chinese fusion cuisine and features everything from rustic tandoori kebabs through to Sichuan specialities. A house special dish that we can’t get enough of is the dal makhni, consisting of black lentils flavoured with tomatoes and cream, cooked overnight in the tandoor. Be sure to arrive at Imperial Restaurant having made a reservation in advance as this place is very popular indeed.
