I was treated to a birthday lunch at Josephine's, where we had delicious food served by excellent staff in a very pleasant environment. Will certainly return!

Very average .... I was expecting more Filipino atmosphere ... Drinks are quite expensive and Red Horse is only in small bottles . Philippines is so happy country but the atmosphere here is a bit sad ..

Easy to find restaurant, five minute walk from Tottenham court road tube station. Staff very welcoming on arrival. Food is as good as you get in the Philippines, very tasty indeed. Both my Filipino wife and I (English) would highly recommend Josephine's, and we will defiantly visit again.

A small compact restaurant with a good range of filipino dishes. Food quality was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended to experience filipino food for the first time.

Average Filipino food not that brilliant. The presentation/ambiance is great but the basement area is alright. It's not that busy so I guess you can just walk in. A bit far from central London so make sure you plan your journey ahead of time.

Very nice staff but ordering took very long (I felt we had been forgotten about!) and the same for food being served. There were quite a few people from the Philippines dining which, when you are just discovering a new cuisine as we were, is a good sign.

Authentic Filipino cuisine from a very friendly staff. The restaurant is in a great location. The portions are very generous. Similar but distinctly different from Thai or other regional food. Definitely worth a try.

We had a great waiter who wanted us to understand what was on the menu before ordering, excellent service, good wine and fantastic food. I highly recommend it.

A very friendly staff - but food disappointing the meat dishes were very chewy - the fish dish my wife had was very good.

Excellent meal, with great company. I'm married to a Filipino and neither of us knew Josaphines existed. We will definitely be returning again. Truly authentic food, give it a try!

Very friendly and helpful staff but unfortunately the food did not come up to our expectations and the wine offerings at the lower price end were appalling.

Overall food was average but service was poor. Waited over 15mins everytime someone from our group ordered a coffee. The waitresses didnt even know what food they were bringing out. Expecting people to know by the look of the food. When I myself have never had Philippino food before So didnt have a clue. They are very popular and were filled to capacity so maybe it was just an off day when we went. But staff kept telling us they didnt have enough glasses and whem we asked for more milk for the coffees we were asked....is that not enough. It was a small cup of milk for two coffees and a dark hot chocolate. We also had soup poured over 2 of us and we even helped to clean it up. But the soup wasnt reserved. We were just given that bowl. If it wasnt for the people we were with it wouldnt have been an enjoyable night.

I first found Josephine's Restaurant last year when I was in London for work. I'm half Filipino and miss good food like my lola would make. So craving that deliciousness, I found Josephine's and was not disappointed. Best Filipino food I've had outside the islands. So this time I found myself with the ability to take an overnight layover in London on the way home from Malta and did not hesitate. I arranged an overnight in London specifically so I could eat dinner at Josephine's, and again, I was not disappointed. Their Adobo is heavenly. The lumpia is fresh and crunchy, just like lola's. The leche flan was sweet and because I couldn't decide, I got a piece of Cassava for take-away that I enjoyed once I got back to my hotel. Their food is completely authentic, well prepared and presented and absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that the non-Filipino wait staff seemed overwhelmed or confused at times. I even had to show two of them how to use the credit card machine for a non-chip-and-pin card (Sadly, most American cards still don't use Chip and Pin). But other than that hiccough, once again I had a great experience and you can be sure that the next time I'm in London, Josephine's will be serving me dinner again.

A lovely meal and very pleasant staff - and a free short guide to holidaying in the Phillipines as an extra (while stocks last I suspect). If there are two of you, go for their set menu which is excellent value. Even for one with drinks, I paid less than £25, including service charge. So good value too for Central London.

Very nice food, reasonable prices, attentive staff. I would definitely recommend to other people, particularly if they hadn't tried Filipino cuisine before. The Guinataan Isda (Fish in Coconut sauce) was especially tasty, as was the Kare-kareng.

Overall customer service at a fairly high standard, main dishes came at a suitable rate and the food was of a good standard however the dessert we ordered (Cassava CAke) came with mould all over it. Upon telling the waiter he acknowledged it but did not apologise and offered a free dessert. Bemused that he did not apologise we assumed that he would apologise as we left but alas he did not. We will not be returning to this restaurant due to this experience.
