Manchester’s premier kosher restaurant: JS Restaurant on Prestwich’s Kings Road serves up traditional Jewish European food favourites ranging from liver and onions to hot salt beef. As Manchester’s oldest kosher restaurant, the folks at JS Restaurant have much to be proud of, and have even opened their doors for deli and takeaway to locals looking for a quick bite on the go. Open every day of the week except for Fridays, JS Restaurant is not only a fantastic dining establishment, but an important player in the local community.
Excellent & prompt service as always. food was beautifully prepared & very tasty. The ambience was delightful. I would heartily recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We had a lovely meal at the J.S. Restaurant. Even though the restaurant was busy, we didn't have to wait very long at all for our food, which was piping hot & extremely tasty.
It has a Very nice atmosphere and good food with friendly service. The price was reasonable. Good choice from the menu I would recommend it.
Established in 1956, it didn’t take long for JS Restaurant to become a stalwart in Manchester’s flourishing Jewish community. Located in Prestwich, the kosher restaurant finds itself in a culturally rich area of town, which is also part of the United Kingdom’s second largest Jewish community. Seating up to 150 guests, JS Restaurant has grown significantly throughout the years and is now available for private hire as well as catering services
First timers to JS Restaurant in Manchester’s Prestwich are often struck by the sheer variety of menu items available. While most of the menu consists of traditional Jewish European food, there are also a number of Middle Eastern specialties – think pita bread, hummus and falafel – as well as beloved British classics like fish and chips. Most importantly, everything on the menu is absolutely kosher, whether it’s the three pepper steak, chicken schnitzel, or lamb Henry. Come in for takeaway and enjoy freshly cut deli meats on fresh bread alongside a variety of other snacks. If you’re dining in, we recommend a reservation – this beloved kosher restaurant packs out during dinner time.
