Kervan Kitchen - Ipswich

Our first experience of Kervan Kitchen we personally would not rush back. We had a table booked, but this was not ready, it feels like staff are rushing around, and snippets of conversations were strained/you could sense annoyance/friction in trying to get tables cleared and out again just felt very rushed. The noise level in the restaurant is quite overwhelming, with load music and a large open plan searing plan when busy with very loud music for birthday celebrations it was hard to have a conversation. Food was nice, starters were very good, Mains were okay but rice was served cold on all three dishes (although meat was nice and hot) we didn't have desert.

So glad we booked to eat early, 17.45 hrs, as it was very busy. Even queuing to get in when we left around 19.00ish. The environment was really lovely, waiters were attentive, the food was plentiful and very tasty. However, the kleftico and moussaka lacked the spiciness of Turkish cuisine. Do you "tone down" the spices to accommodate the English palate. Overall a good evening with family.

was a lovely meal service was good food was faultless only thing id say is the service charge of £12.50 was just added to the bill it should be a choice after all the staff get paid like everyone does why do they think you have to pay extea

We enjoyed the evening, however was very noisy and we thought a bit expensive.

Very welcoming with an amazing vibe in the restaurant, it was busy with nearly every table occupied, plenty of well organised and easily visible staff on hand, the decor is very tasteful, the toilets are pristine and superbly decorated, extensive menu and suitable for vegetarian dishes. The collective celebration of birthdays is a tad annoying when loud music is piped through the entire dining area, waiters clap and sing, once is a novelty, four or more times it’s tedious, maybe tone that down a bit. For two of us having starter and main and one drink each it was £91 so far from average in Ipswich but on first impressions probably the best new restaurant in Ipswich right now, highly recommend you visit but book to avoid disappointment.

A wonderful experience, and the staff are lovely. It is great that people celebrate their birthdays in Kervan Kitchen, but the sudden and loud music that gets played when the cake comes out, really interrupts an otherwise great experience. It stops conversation.

Brilliant night & food but after our initial order for food & drink we had to keep getting the attention of a waiter to order more (after waiting for a long time), not a problem for us as we were catching up! However some people may have got frustrated with this as it could be perceived as inattentive. Lovely staff - it’s just so you know!

Absolutely wonderful, the best restaurant in Ipswich! Beautiful decor and amazing waiters who looked after my daughter and I exceptionally well! Delicious food and very well priced lunch menu!! Amazing service 10/10 cannot fault.

The restaurant looks amazing it's been fitted out really well, feels like a special place. The general music volume is a bit loud, making it hard to hold conversations, and the sporadic 'happy birthday' music where the volume is turned up to 10 is really intrusive. The prices aren't cheap, but the food is very delicious and the service is excellent. I will return, but more for a special occasion rather than a normal meal out, due to the pricing.

The food was delicious and the staff efficient and very attentive. Very relaxed atmosphere all in all a fab evening out. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Turkish food. The wash basins in the Ladies are worth seeing!🥰❤️

This was my first time to the restaurant and it was very very good - we really enjoyed the food and the staff we had contact with were lovely. The only thing that let it down was the fact the restaurant didn't acknowledge my mums birthday. I put on the booking that we were visiting solely for that reason but despite hearing 5 or 6 other birthdays being celebrated with music and singing we were forgotten. I felt awful when we left as she will think that we didn't bother telling you! For that reason I left feeling disapointed and terrible that my mum didn't get the same treatment as what felt like the rest of the restaurant :(

Lovely food service no wait time. Lovely and clean. Expected Turkish music not English. Also little bright and new as again expected more of a Turkish theme as very bright. Will be returning as already booked can’t wait. Maybe a little tweaking with the music and theme inside

Great food at Kervan Kitchen in Ipswich. I had dinner with friends and the food was delicious, I especially enjoyed my shish lamb, but in total honesty, all the food was amazing. The staff was also very friendly and efficient. You might say waiting time between starter and main was a bit long but it was a very busy night and the staff was working very hard.

Brought my husband here to show him how brilliant this place is. He was super impressed, said it was the best Turkish meal he's ever had. The staff provide excellent service, the decor is stunning. Will definitely be returning with others and will be recommending.
