Not as good as I remember. Pretty tasteless curries and definitely not great value. Staff seemed disinterested. I had the whole lamb shank and it was in a watery sauce. Unfortunately I wouldn’t try them again.
Fabulous food and service. A little different to the norm and well worth rhentrip to Wimbledon Broadway. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll have a great food experience.
Food was very tasty food and arrived at the table very quickly. Tikka masala sauce slightly thinner than I'd have liked but would go again.
Our new favourite curry house. Superb curried lamb shank and very good service too. It will remain on the list for our next meal in Wimbledon
Lovely food, I would recommend the chicken tikka masala or chicken korma. There's a very nice atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff, would definitely recommend a visit.
Quiet and pleasant surroundings. Some of the food was very good (maash ki daal particularly) while the sag paneer was below average. The biggest disappointment was that they served a spicy tomato sauce with the poppadoms rather than the more delicious condiments you normally get. We had to ask for lime pickle and it tasted like it was from a bottle. We had a bottle of the sauvignon blanc/viognier which was good value and tasty. Overall an average experience.
food doesn’t have any tast all. Food looks very old ( kept in the freezer for long time.). Expensive to pay this sort of quality.
Our first time in Wimbledon for dinner on a Saturday night. We live in Teddington and we were getting bored with same ole same ole. We weren’t disappointed. Welcoming staff, good service and exceptional food, well prepared and served.
great meal and good service, left you to eat, and did not keep pestering, food was hot, and reasonably priced superb we will book again,
All good, quick service food was good not fatty like in most Indian restaurants. Responsibly priced 52 for two including drinks. Will be back there.
The food was really lovely but the waiters really don't need to ask if everything is ok every five minutes. Their over-attentiveness was very irritating.
The food is very good, especially the chicken tikka masala. The service is good and fast. The environment is very pleasant and nice atmosphere. Nice evening out.
Delicious food and tasted healthy for a curry! The staff were attentive and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go back. See you soon!
Since Khanage in Wimbledon won in the National Curry Awards, I had been keen to visit. We went on a Saturday night and in Wimbledon Broadway, that’s likely to be busy. It was; but we’d booked so all was well. It was crowded but not too noisy and the modern style of décor was pleasing. Overall, service was efficient and friendly, even though it was slowed by sheer numbers of clientele. The menu is wide-ranging and tempting and the portions generous. I enjoyed my chicken kebab starter and lamb pasanda main dish, but my one small criticism was that I felt that the lamb meat flavour was over-whelmed by the sauce. A very pleasant evening out and we will certainly go again but on a quieter night, and we will try different dishes.
We had a lovely evening celebrating my sons 21st birthday. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. The staff very friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend.
This is a good Indian restaurant. Food was very well prepared and good variety of dishes. Service was a little slow but to be expected on a Saturday night I guess
Had a great evening at this Indian restaurant. Food was freshly prepared and well presented. All five of us had different main courses and all were really good. Staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend the Khanage and will be returning.
The food was superb - one of the best Indians I've had. Not greasy at all and every dish delicately and distinctly flavoured. No heartburn despite probably eating too much! Only slight criticism was the temperature of the dining area - a bit too chilly for a cold December evening. Also, the house white wine could have been better and also a bit more chilled.
Great food, but staff were overstretched and if seated near the back the door to the toilets let in a huge draft from an exterior door that was wide open and they refused to close. Still that is a minor point, great food, good price. So-so service.
There was a special lunch deal we were not encouraged to eat for £7. Instead we were advised to eat various dishes on the menu with rice and naan bread at a cost of £12 per person. The room was cold because the heating wasn't working. The meals we ordered were mostly tasty and worthwhile although some weren't the greatest. Try brick lane for better curries.
I was so cold, I could see my own breathe. The food was good but I wish they would follow instruction as I wanted an alteration.
This was our first visit to Khanage. The reviews were spot on. Great food and very hospitable staff, in comfortable and relaxed surroundings. We'll definitely be back!
