It was my husband's 50th birthday so went here for a meal. The staff were really helpful, they let me drop off balloons and a cake beforehand and sat us somewhere nice. Food was great quality and my husband said so was the beer.

Deserved 5 for service but the wine was not up to scratch considering we paid 10 pounds + per glass, food was extremely good. Would come again.

The Service was good, pleasant staff, the summer menu has lots of choice, and food was delicious as always. Portion sizes are large so could only manage 2 courses! It is a very busy and popular pub so wise to book in advance to avoid disappointment

Great food and great atmosphere. We were celebrating a birthday so they let us bring our own cake. The only reason I didn't give top score is because the service was slow.

Lovely meal with a great atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. All the meals were well presented and tasted delicious, so much to eat that we had to have doggy bags! Thank you we will be back.

Efficient and friendly service. My special menu duck with pear and Roquefort salad was a definite highlight. We both had rib eye steak which were tender and cooked correctly to our differing requirements. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was faultless until we noticed we had been given the wrong white wine. Unfortunately, we did not notice until the bill arrived as the wine was not shown to us when served and was placed in a cooling sleeve. The billing error was corrected but with considerable bad grace and that is why I have not given the full 6. Certainly, all that had gone before deserved this higher mark. Perhaps, an appreciation of how one deals with errors may be sensible especially when the actual cost of what was involved was very small.

It's a great atmosphere and food. I did however find my chicken to be dry and there was an overall lack of service, otherwise we had a great meal.

Fantastic pub. Looks lovely, has a lovely atmosphere and the food was wonderful. Would recommend as there is something for everyone. The staff are really nice and friendly without being over the top, and all courses were timed just right. We will be going back.

As a regular this is a hard review, however, I booked a table for 3, I was put on a table that could just comfortably sit 2 right by the bar, so I couldn't sit at the table as squashed in, so didn't order food as I could not eat as had to sit skew wiff.... Yet our usual table was free the whole time! Does familiarity breed contempt on this occasion I feel so, the food my guest's ordered was good as always as was the service, but they knew the situation and did nothing to help!!! Big let down guys, really let you down

We had a very pleasant evening in a nice atmosphere with good value food and drink. I would definitely consider going back if I were in the area.

As usual, great service, food and value for money, they have changed the wine list and it's great have the Pouille Fuisse its fantastic and greatly priced!!!!

This is a wonderful pub. The food is always excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. The service on Sunday 10th July was very prompt and the fish dishes we had were great.

It is quite a few years since we last visited The Kings Arms. We will be returning again soon! We very much enjoyed our evening. The menu was varied and interesting. The food was very tasty and well presented. The staff were polite and pleasant and the décor and ambience just right.

Friendly informal atmosphere .Above average "pub food" menu meat and fish choice,good price range and well cooked food.Would certainly visit again. Staff efficient very willing to please...coffee could have been hotter!

We had a nice time. Waitresses are professional, attentive, pleasant and available all the time. Food is delicious and hot. The only negative thing was that the knives needed to be sharper to cut the meat easier

Great pub. Good food, good beer, dog friendly - just what we needed tonight even though the dogs had to stay in the car because they were filthy!

Unfriendly atmosphere.Very good food presentation but food let them down very badly.We had a table for four food was either very bland or to over powering.Conclusion bad and over priced food. Unfortunately would not return.

Service very good, table was in a very dark area and my parents had trouble reading the menu because of this. The food was of average quality but not worth what was charged for it. The pie of the day wich was steak and kidney was very disapionting. All in all over priced for the quality of food, we will not be returning.

Busy, good atmosphere. Cosy corner seat. Prompt service. Fairly good choice from menu, perhaps more variety needed for starters. Didn't have desserts so can't comment on those. Not overpriced for type of establishment, but I consider drinks expensive.

Excellent food and exceptionally friendly service, thoroughly enjoyed in particular the crab, smoked trout and prawn pot starter, absolutely delicious and the crispy shredded beef.
