have been to better places and I've been to worst, service was ok whilst was alright. Would i go back again........Don't think so

We use La Caverna regularly and have never had a bad experience until last night; poor level of service and poor standard of food. My main course was served on a plate so hot that the waitress had to pick up a second cloth; she was more bothered about burning herself and almost dropped the plate on me in the process. My cannelloni was cold in the middle despite this. My dessert if profiteroles was stale. I did something I would never do and sent it back only to be told the Kitchen said it’s fine! No alternative offered or empathy. I asked for a glass of prosecco to be told they didn’t have any; an Italian restaurant with no prosecco on a Saturday night???? I refused to pay for my food - the waitress who took our payment was understanding and offered an apology. Won’t be rushing back.

The service was poor, didnt get our wine until after starters were served and wasn't worth waiting for as it was disgusting and was okay

Excellent food. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Attentive but not pestering. Lovely and clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Will be returning and recommending to others

Food was very good but very bad service. The staff were all in the kitchen after 10:30 and we couldn't get a drink or any service until we complained at 10:50. We left with out dessert as we were weren't impressed and they discounted the bill because of the lack of service

Lovely meal and restaurant. Food was of very good quality and prices were very reasonable. The staff were also very friendly and attentive. We will be visiting again.

Superb meal. Cooked to perfection. Staff were attentive throughout and made our special night out even better. Will be returning for another celebration very soon

Food very good and was looked very appetising on the plate . Service also good our waitress was cheerfull polite and attentive. On the whole are party enjoyed the evening.

Great restaurant nice customer service and the food was amazing I would recommend to anyone they have good selection on the menu and the prices aren't that bad either for the amount of food you get

A nice, proper Italian restaurant (not just pizza and pasta). A good choice of dishes and a pretty decent choice of wines. The service was very friendly, some classical Italian music playing at just the right volume to enjoy it without conversation being disturbed. Nothing not to like about this place!

Awful! Veal was chewy had to be sent back. Chicken dish had pork strIps as well!! Bread was stale tiger loaf. Will never go back.
