First time visiting this restaurant! The food was amazing the only thing they didn't have was Prawns which we were looking forward to, but guess they are popular! The atmosphere was very traditional! Staff were very helpful too. Would recommend :-)
An excellent early Sunday evening family meal - varied and delicious tapas, with several daily specials, fresh Spanish themed ambience and friendly, attentive service, topped off with a fruity Rioja!
We were the first in that evening so it lacked a bit of atmosphere but it soon picked up and we cannot fault the staff and the food. A most enjoyable experience.
Great little place - excellent service and tasty food. A good atmosphere for an enjoyable night. Would definitely go again, was reasonably priced so good value.
On arrival we were shown to our booked table and presented with the menu, 5 minutes later the waitress returned to take our order. We were then told that they were in the process of reviewing their menu and 6/7 options were no longer available, which was a slight problem, because there was only 20 options available on the menu.
The service we received was amazing however the food was expensive and didn't have much flavour to it. The chorizo bruschetta was very nice and I would recommend!
lovely little restaurant, perfect amount of choice on the menu which is really authentic. Food was fantastic and dishes served as they were ready. Staff very helpful with recommending number of dishes to order
booked a meal for 4, the food was excellent with a great choice for both vegetarians and non veggies, staff were lovely and friendly definately recommend it
My husband and I had a lovely meal at La Olivia: the canapés were light and delicious. We both chose the calves liver for main which was cooked beautifully. The vegetables were also cooked just right and were varied. We particularly liked the tempura courgette. The Creme brule was delicious. The menu as a whole was very varied. The staff were very smart, efficient and polite. We had the added treat of meeting the local artist whose beautiful pictures adorned the walls. A lovely restaurant and would recommend it.
Probably one of the worst dining experiences ever. It took 20 mins before someone even asked if we wanted a drink, then another 20 minutes before someone took an order. The tapas then arrived roughly 20 minutes apart. The first dish arrived, potatas bravas then we waited and waited and waited. They came over an asked, "Do you want anything?" and I said "Some food". They even started clearing our plates away before we'd had the last tapas delivered. Pathetic. They said the kitchen was busy, but half the tables were empty and a large family next to us were eating ice cream. The food was OK but really nothing special. In the corner next to us was a dying little olive tree. Probably hasn't had a drink in months. Sort of said it all.
We visited on a Friday evening. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The wine list excellently complimented the food. All the dishes we chose were delicious. A great evening. Thank you Oliva
Fabulous tapas...I had amazing tapas in Barcelona but this was even better. Lovely venue and also the MOST helpful and obliging staff. I've been here twice now when visiting Harrogate--it's a must!! Great Sangria too. Alos very reasonable.
Was v nice but basically paid £6 for some aldi chorizo and bread. Generally the food was great, but you got incredibly little for what you paid. Very nice, but kind of takes the mick with the quantity of food you get. I just went and i'm off for a pizza LOL.
Fantastic food, all delicious, we ordered too much as usual and had to rush as we were going to the theatre. All dishes were fantastic, great wine too and lovely staff. Highly recommended, will be back soon
Fantastic tapas, every dish was delicious, the staff were professional and helpful. Will definitely be back 😃 Can't pick a favourite, everything was great and the wine was great too!
Excellent authentic restaurant with great service and amazing food. I would highly recommend this Harrogate restaurant for anyone looking for something special in a relaxed environment
Yet another fantastic meal with great service. Delicious freshly cooked tapas and the pineapple carpaccio for dessert is divine! Looking forward to our next visit.
Superb food, lovely red wine and great atmosphere. Attentive staff, interesting decor and a really great find. Will go back when we are back in Harrogate in next.
I always enjoy La Olivia. The food and wine are great and the staff are lovely. It feels like it has been picked out of Spain and dropped into Harrogate!
Generally very good food. The atmosphere is an acquired taste though - very modern and 'Euro-chic' rather than 'cosy'. The iberian pork was really very tasty.
Lovely meal with the family. Didn't have a meal planned but walked past this place and it looked so inviting. Great choice of food and atmosphere.
