More about La Sal, Edinburgh

Spanish cuisine is famous for sophisticated tapas made to be shared among close friends and family. Edinburgh’s La Sal has taken inspiration from this by creating a cosy and elegant space for guests to indulge in high quality Spanish tapas and an extensive wine list. Nestled on quiet Howden Street, the heart of the Old Town, La Sal has an array of dishes that will tantalise the senses. We recommend sampling the selección de vegetales de navarra (a platter of artichokes, asparagus and piquillo peppers), tortilla de berenjenas( a delicious cheese and aubergine omelette) or paying homage to both Spain and Scotland, the huevos rotos con morcilla de burgos(layers of potato, onion and peppers topped with egg and black pudding).

Walking distance from Arthur’s Seat and the National Museum in the UNESCO heritage listed Old Town, La Sal also caters for large groups and offers a set shared menu, perfect for sampling all they have to offer. With an enticing wine list on offer, this Edinburgh hideaway is a must-visit destination for foodies and Spanish lovers alike. Book now to secure your spot today!

We had a wonderful time at La Sal. Not our first visit, but it just seems to get better and better, from the standard of the food to the friendliness of the staff and general ambience. Heartily recommended.
