We booked it for 6:45 and on our arrival the restaurant was simply closed. Not sure if it is permanent closure but there were no explanation on the door. Quite upsetting.

Lovely food and nice, relaxed atmosphere. Good for a quiet meal. Could do with some Japanese music and a bit of a tidy up. Would go again.

Great service, amazing food. Very bright so doesn't feel overly romantic although popular for dates and or small groups of friends (4 max really). Authentic Japanese. Recommend highly.

The food was good but the restaurant was very quiet which meant it was a bit of an odd atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Delicious Japanese food in a relaxed atmosphere. I had a chicken combo curry. It was very tasty. Friendly service. Good option if visiting battersea arts centre. Recommended.

It was very quiet for a Friday night, but the atmosphere was very calming so I didn't mind. Prices were very reasonable and the quality of the food was great - very fresh, healthy and tasted delicious. I would definitely go back to Lagu, although maybe for lunch or a quick bite to eat at dinner time rather than for a more special evening.

The food was OK although the menu was quite limited and the person serving us was not particularly friendly and did not seem that interested in what he was doing. Unfortunately the restaurant was also completely empty on a Thursday night and I will not go back as it lacked atmosphere as a result. There's a lot of competition in the area so this place needs to up its game to compete.

Great staff, good food! The room was a little plain needs some more art work or something to brighten up the room. I would come back.

Lovely venue outstanding Japanese food, rice bowls really good octopus balls that melt in your mouth. Hidden jemmy that needs more people to know it's there!

Great bento box which was also good value for the money. The online reservation could not have been easier and while not necessary was nice to have. Definitely going back.

Absolutely loved it there! So quiet and relaxing from the chaotic London cafés. Great, accurate service and very nice beverages (and I'm Italian, so quite picky with coffee). Great for some time in a homely environment.

Very pleasant and friendly Japanese staff to take orders. Clean and bright room. Bathroom is very clean. Food - pork cutlets are slightly strong taste for Japanese but maybe it is suitable for non Japanese. Salmon with avocado Don was excellent. Price is reasonable.

The decor was quite quirky and it's a pretty small place, so only a few tables makes it seem busy. The food was tasty. I didn't really enjoy the macha latte, it smelt like pond and tasted a bit better. It was also a little more expensive than I had anticipated and so, I ended spending a fair bit as rice is considered an extra, which i think is cheeky. But overall, it was an enjoyable experience. The staff were lovely and the temperature was nice.

The staff was consistently very friendly and polite, from my dealings with them over the phone to when we were at the restaurant and were the last ones there! The food was really good, extremely fresh and flavoursome. Not a mainstream Japanese restaurant in that the menu was offering traditional Japanese dishes as opposed to a vast selection of sushi, sashimis and other types of rolls (although all available as part of a dish I think). It was very quiet so great if you fancy an evening out with an intimate vibe but not the best if you want somewhere really lively. I hope to have the opportunity to go back and try more of their menu!

A very nice little local restaurant with good food. Quality wasn't as high as some Japanese restaurants and service was a little slow at times, so overall it felt expensive relative to the quality although not too bad value. Food sometimes tasted better than it looked; chicken kara age didn't look especially appetising but tasted good. Udon noodles in curry with prawn katsu was very good. Wouldn't rush back, but Lagu would certainly 'do the job' if I found myself fancying Japanese!

The place is white and bright which I love! I had the curry with the mixture of rice which was fabulous, and I eat a lot but I couldn't finish it. I had the Sencha green tea which came in a delicate glass pot- I love those! As well the matcha latte which was divine! Certainly coming again. I missed out the 6 star rating purely because I dined with a friend and despite not being all that busy I think service was a little slow and I did have to remind someone about my drink I ordered which I tried patiently waiting for. Though, the service is extremely friendly. I would definitely come again :)

Very tasty, quite simple food in an elegant space. Only reason not 6 was because portions felt a bit mean compared to prices but certainly not an expensive restaurant and still good value.

Don't be deceived by the 'cafe' outlook of this lovely restaurant. Delicious Japanese dishes, great service and surprisingly fairly priced. Best kept secret In the heart of Clapham.

Quaint little place with a great feel of hospitality. And the food is fantastic! More of a cafe than a restaurant, but if you are looking for an quiet place for dinner, it's also great.

Very nice little place, super friendly service. All of our food was very good, although the salmon sashimi could have been fresher (and better trimmed - it had grey edges). We will visit again!
