Lemongrass - Guildford

The food is outstanding and the service has always been top notch. Lovely environment for a fabulous evening out

We arrived early for a pre theatre meal and were very kindly allowed to go into the “closed” restaurant and peruse the menu over drinks. Charming service with waitresses who were prepared to give you time and conversation. Of course, we were the only customers present, so there was no sense of anyone being too busy for you. Food excellent. Lovely atmosphere. The only reason a 5 was given for rating and not the 6 is that we felt the toilet set up needed looking at again....very small, shared washbasins with the gents, and considering the size of the restaurant, may need looking at. Many thanks for an extremely pleasant experience, nonetheless.

Food & service excellent, but main course not kept hot. Food plates only warmed so food got cold during course of meal. Otherwise good value and friendly service.

Traditional welcome into a cozy restaurant. Staff at the restaurant were friendly. Different types of starters and mains with different types of curries. food was amazing and tasty.

Turned up and they said electricity and gas were out so couldn’t do any cooking (there were people sitting at tables and the lights were on however?!!). Very annoying as we’d driven 20 minutes to get there. A phone call to tell us would have been considerate. Won’t be doing that drive again!

Excellent food. The service could be improved but overall I was very impressed. We had 2 starters and 2 mains and it came to £35. Cheap and cheerful.

The Lemongrass is a converted pub in Compton, the interior is nice and welcoming , staff are a little distant, good menu, reasonably priced and very good, tables a bit close together and can be noises, overall nice atmospheres

Nice meal with friends, but our guests felt the cold from drafty door and windows. The food was good, but not as good as the Lemongrass Thai in Cranleigh.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly and very helpful, they were able to recater the menu for taste preferences and everyone was very happy. overall an excellent experience and we will be returning in the future.

Lovely meal,very good attentive service ,food prices we’re reasonably priced with fair sized portions,I thought the wine prices were fair,if I have anything detrimental would be the beer at nearly £4 a bottle is excessive.

A good Thai meal. Tasty without being too hot. They were very careful not to give me oyster sauce in anything, as I am allergic to it. Polite and quick service. Will go again.

Very friendly, very prompt, very tasty. We'd been there before and will definitely go again. Added to that, it is just around the corner (more or less).

It was Good food. The service was good. The venue has a nice relaxing atmosphere. It is easy to get to and parking is easy too.

I had the sizzling seafood dish and wasn’t overly impressed. The squid/calamari was tasteless and rubbery. The mussels were too tough. The scallops were good though. It would’ve helped if the menu had described the contents of the dish. ‘Mixed seafood’ is too vague a description.

Lemongrass in Compton near Guildford is a delight. The staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. The food is fabulous. I had the Thai green curry and it was the best l have ever had since our last visit to Thailand.

Lovely restaurant, delicious food! Service was a bit slow even though it wasn't that busy but can't complain! Food is a bit on the pricey side so would recommend coming here for a nice dinner rather than popping in for some grub :)

We enjoyed our meals at Lemongrass Guildford, in the Harrow Inn, Compton. Parking was easy on Saturday lunchtime. The staff were welcoming and attentive without being obtrusive. There is a good selection of starters and mains and the portions were generous. My starter of veggie rolls with a dipping sauce was tasty but my main of tofu and veggies needed a sauce to give it more taste, so I would choose a different dish next time. My wife’s red Thai curry was excellent, full of flavour. Others in the party were also very satisfied. There’s a selection of desserts and I enjoyed the pistachio ice cream this time and my wife could manage a coffee. Unfortunately no soya milk which could easily be rectified. For 6 of us for mains, 2 starters, various glasses of wine, and desserts the overall cost was about £115, including 10% service charge. We’ll go again.

Beautiful setting, excellent friendly service and great Thai food. We chose one of the set menus for two people and asked about the very hot dish and they offered to change it without quibble.

Excellent food very nice restaurant in lovely village good value I have used it several times now and never been disappointed highly recommended, especially good is the seafood.

Lovely food and service, however we were given and paid the food bill only later to be told they had given us the wrong bill so we had to pay more.

Really tasty Thai food in a relaxed setting with great service too. They have Chang and Singha beers and a very reasonably priced wine list. The venue used to be The Harrow pub and it has free parking to the rear.

We booked on the internet from their site. Service and food excelent in a lovely environment what more can one ask. We will be back with freinds next time.

Nice venue and the food was excellent. Couldnt really fault it. It was however fairly quiet which didnt make for a great atmosphere. Overall nice though

This was our first visit. It certainly lived up to all the praise written on line by previous diners. Delicious food beautifully presented in generous portions in a welcoming, convivial ambience. A delightful evening out and so close to home! We shall be back with more guests.

Delicious food, large portions, attentive service, only negative is that it is noisy, no curtains, carpets or tablecloths to absorb sound! Will definitely use again.

Very good food, more than enough with the set menu. The duck dish in menu B was not as hot as listed but really good. We will be back for sure.

Food was excellent, which was very tasty and very well prepsented. I had beef which was so tender and melt in the mouth. Excellent service from the waiters who where very attentive.
