Very good service, delicious food! We love this local French restaurant. Everyone working here is friendly in a French typical way. The food is just glorious! The wine is magnificent in particular the dessert wine. We come here for special occasions often and will keep coming. Love it!

Used to go to this restaurant many years ago and it was always busy and a good dining experience, so sad to see it a bit drab now - no decor changes in 15 years - the food was really nice but the waiter didn’t look like he really wanted to be there- such a pity

The French onion soup was the best I’d ever had, the duck was just right and the tarte tatin was superb. There was a lovely atmosphere as our host couldn’t have been more helpful and I would definitely go again. Thank you.

It was very quiet on the night we visted (very hot) but the owner gave us his full attention and the food was, as usual, delicious. A greater choice of wines by the glass would be good.

We were very impressed with the food and service, all at a very reasonable price. The Sunday lunch menu is small but we enjoyed everything ordered and will definitely visit again.

Relaxed atmosphere. Great food. Great wine. The cheese course was fantastic too. We're very lucky to have a piece of provincial France on our doorstep!

We had 2 set meals and one al la carte. The pernod aperitif was very good. We had French Onion soup and Rabbit terrine as hors d'oeuvre, followed by 2 guinea fowl. and a pan fried rare ribeye steak with cheese.mustarde cream sauce, an apple tart and a selection of desserts, with a bottle of Cote du Rhone and a dessert wine. Other drinks were a small beer and a coke. Our bill was under £120 inc service. We all enjoyed the food, have been before and will go back again, The location opposite Park Road pool Crouch End is out of the way, so difficult to find unless recommended or via a search engine

A small, informal cosy restaurant, flexible with the last minute change of booking time. Overall a very friendly service and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend when looking for a tasty French meal.

Enjoyable evening, slightly over-stretched service. Some dishes (notably morue) lacked any discernable flavour but the vegetarian special (ordered in advance) and the entrées were all excellent

Friendly, warm atmosphere, reasonable prices, retro experience. Very enjoyable evening, staff were attentive and food was traditional and tasty. Highly recommended as an alternative to try-hard trendy venues... This is the real deal.

good food on the whole, not sure the Civet de lapin was cooked in the real civet style, just rabbit with wine. Starters and deserts were nice.
