Second visit to the Lounge on the Green and again another fabulous meal. Excellent customer service from attentive staff. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Great atmosphere too!
The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere, nice music in the background. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and it was no issue having a slight change in the menu.
Second visit and can't believe the quality of food and service for such a reasonable price. Fantastic choice of menu and they cater for all dietary requirements.
Lounge on the green has Great food, great service, great atmosphere. You are made to feel welcome from when you arrive to when you leave. Cannot fault it.
Fabulous experience from entering to leaving. My wife’s birthday, James and his team made it very special. Cocktails on arrival, champagne, great wine all served with a smile and amazing food. Special thanks to Hannah who sorted out the fliowers on the table. Lounge on the Green.....is a must go wee gem. Thanks again guys for a wonderful night.
First visit to Lounge on the Green and won't be last. Could not fault anything from ambience to staff and service and the food was delicious. Five in our party we all had turkey dinner and Christmas pudding and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Lovely food, surroundings and service, which was attentive without being overbearing. We have been meaning to come here for a while, and weren't disappointed. The menu was well thought out, and the food was cooked beautifully. I booked online with Quandoo, and appreciated the call from the restaurant on the morning of our meal, to enquire whether I still wanted the table, confirm the booking, and ask whether there were any special dietary requirements.
Faultless! We've lived in Carlisle 19 years and this is the first decent restaurant north of the river in all that time. Between the two of us, we had 6 courses and every one of them was delicious. Perfectly cooked and well presented by informally attentive staff. Can't speak highly enough of this new establishment. And as a further bonus, I was introduced to Shed Head, a beautiful Swedish beer. We'll be back.
Outstanding, really, Carlisle had been crying out for decent food for ages and this place fills the void. My only criticism is that the beer selection leaves a lot to be desired, the shed head IPA was especially bland. If I;'m looking to pick fault, then a bit more sauce would have been nice with the steak but I'm sure if I asked they would've given me some, and the risotto could've been seasoned more but that could be down to personal taste.
An enticing menu with lots of interesting ideas to choose from. We were offered sourdough bread and then a seared salmon pre-starter. I had scallops followed by chicken with black pudding, then blackberry baked alaska. My wife had pork cheek with lobster tail, then duck with spinach and dauphinoise potatoes. Just a pity that the restaurant was cold - we both had to keep our jackets on throughout. But not to take away from a very enjoyable meal.
