Ma Boyle's

Food was poor - the burger basically fell apart and crumbled. Staff weren't interested when taking our order or speaking to us. I had to go to the bar to pay the bill - it was not busy as all 3 staff were stood behind the bar. The act that played was brilliant as a positive.

Would probably say that this is more of a drinking venue than a food venue. Quite a limited menu and no children's menu either. Wouldn't recommend this for families with children in the evening due to the live music which was too loud for a small venue such as this which meant we could barely hear each other. Food was fine though and would probably go back during the daytime when not as crowded.

Not the best Sunday lunch ive eaten, ordered chicken supreme but was just a plain chicken breast. It's a nice charming pub for a drink or brunch just the dinner could have been a little better.

Fantastic bar, very lively with good music. Staff were excellent. We also ate there, Scouse to die for. Try the Liverpool gin also. What's not to like 👍👍

We were served quickly and the food was tasty. We all ordered from the sandwich menu and were all happy with our portion size. Very enjoyable.

Good atmosphere and very good food. Service was friendly and fast, would maybe say portions were a little small but enough if have 2 courses.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly service, amazing food. Staff ensured we got the most from our bottomless prosecco without even asking - will be going back again soon. Great way to start my parents first visit to the city!

Quite difficult to find but Great service, good food , very busy. After the meal we sat outside which was very pleasant, shame the seating outside was packed away early.

Unfortunately only 2 members of staff in to do everything, so they were run off there feet, food was cold, would have been nice if hot, staff were polite and very apologetic, also only half a menu as had ran out of many items!

Friendly staff. Absolutely lovely food and plenty of it! I am Vegetarian but the sandwiches were very tasty. Will definitely return. Lovely place also. Thank you.

Wow food was great and a fab atmosphere . Recommend this venue to anyone visiting Liverpool will certainly go back when we return. Charming little place .

This has been a popular restaurant for years! The quality of the food is always good and the service very friendly! I would thoroughly recommend this place.

Was lovely and fresh would have loved it served with China cups and saucers but was fab would definitely recommend. Easy to get to from our hotel also

Scones were very disappointing as they had jam & cream already on them and lacked taste if was if they were straight out of the fridge! Sandwich choice wasn't brilliant either - my wife doesn't like mustard!

Food was great as usual! Card machine didn't work when we tried to pay, which meant we had to tell the staff what we were paying for, not an issue to us, but if we weren't the honest people we are the restaurant could have missed out!

Fab food. Excellent service. Reallly enjoyed our evening. Neil Fitzmaurice really good host for the quiz. Would recommend friends to go just for the food and service.

Ma Boyle's bar was a good place to go for food and drinks after work. The Staff were friendly and the food/cocktails were nice.

Whenever we go to Ma Boyle's, it's always busy, so they're obviously doing something right. But just a word of warning: it can get noisy! We opted for the rump steak this trip. Cooked to our liking - perfect, with Ma's own chips. Some fine real ales to accompany the food along with a very agreeable bottle of pinot grigio - will definitely be returning - especially if another Confidential offer comes along.

Great service and Food went for afternoon tea would telephone to book a couple of days before as they are busy would highly recommend and will be visiting again

Meal was lovely we had the beef Sunday roast dinner. We had to wait a long time for our meal it was really busy dident seem to be enough staff. And also I was really disappointed with the deserts menu, I wanted app,e crumble I was to,d this had run out. That was the only desert I liked on the menu, I had the chocolate brownie this was really dry could have done with chocolate sauce with this. My partner had cheesecake that was like a moose no way was this a cheese cake.

It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was quite empty but the two girls serving were lovely and bright and made my husband's birthday meal a special occasion for him, presenting him with a sticky toffee pudding dessert with a candle. The steak was gorgeous and the sauces which accompanied it very tasty and plenty of it. I would go back there the next time I go to Liverpool.

Fantastic bar with great bar food and staff. Well worth a visit. Food provided 7 days a week and reasonably priced. Always cask asles on tap and good offers throughout the week.

Had previously visited Ma's for James' very enjoyable Whisky Appreciation Event, and had eyed the eats menu then, so we booked a table for yesterday, and were favourably impressed by the delightful and efficient table service, and the three Scouse Pies plus drinks.... Highly recommend Ma Boyle's, and looking forward to James' Gin Experience in July..... Terry, Chris, and Ella

Ordered from the brunch menu, veggie breakfast and eggs royale. Both mine and my partner's eggs were completely hard and not at all yolky. Told the waitress when she asked, she apologised and offered to bring another. But by this point, we'd already eaten half of our meal. It was good but I expect eggs to be cooked correctly by a chef.

The restaurant was nice and the staff where friendly and helpful. The food was nice although the breakfast was only small. We when using a groupon voucher. Trying to book wasn't easy tho as they never had space for the voucher users although there was space for general customers

Lovely place,staff friendly. Scouse was tasty but could have done with being a litter hotter but that's just my personal choice. Would definitely recommend and go again.

We was shown to our table very promptly and had great service throughout our trip. Food and drink was to a great. We will return.

Friendly atmosphere, staff really helpful, wast to much trouble for them and the food was spot on would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends.

Fantastic place with live music. Nice service and good meal. Maybe steak and ale pie could been better but it isn't bas at all. I'll come back

Didn't have what we wanted for the third time visiting. Had the wrong menu on the table, totally unorganised. The bill was wrong again for the third time in three visits. On a plus the staff are very friendly.

Always a good venue for a catch up with friends. Friendly staff. Wish they would of told us there was a private function on later when we arrived and could have planned our day better

One of our favourite places to eat when in Liverpool. As usual the experience of dining here was a very satisfying one. Lovely food, served by a happy to help staff, all at a reasonable price. Will of course be returning.

Quite a squeeze inside when busy. Great choice of drinks especially if you are Rum drinker. Food very tasty but not particularly large portions. It was value for money though I suppose. Having said that, it was a pub and not a restaurant.

Food was ok (nothing special), beer was nice and service was good and friendly. Overall it was a nice enough lunch, worth what I paid (I had a half price voucher), but I don't think I'll go back again.

I have not been there for a while but liked the food the last time I went. I had the burger and it came with some sad looking lettuce leafs, no tomato as stated and they forgot the coleslaw. Then we had some workman drilling right next to our table so was unable to enjoy my lunch or have a proper conversation with my colleague. Having said that our waitress was very pleasant.

Brilliant Ma Boyles real ale, scouse was superb. The Prosecco sangria pitcher was outstanding. Well done MA Boyles, another great night out at this gem of a place. Jmc 😊

Great place for Sunday roast dinner,very helpful staff. Well worth the money. Recommend it to anyone,go and try it for yourselves and see how good it is.

Food just took too long to arrive for a lunch hour, especially as we had just ordered sandwiches. Staff were very friendly and attentive though. We absolutely could not fault their service.
