Macellaio RC - Battersea

Good atmosphere but the wait for the main course was way too longs and the steaks were cold in the middle. Even when slightly warmer they were pretty bland and no juice. Really Disappointing as they looked great in the fridge! .

Delicious food and good service. Even had option for our gluten free guest which was fantastic!

Lots of flies flying about which is a bit off-putting in a butcher restaurant as it implies poor hygiene

The meat was nice, but overall just felt like it was a bit overpriced for the end product. Servings were very small and not enough flavour to warrant how little you got for the price we paid. Nice, but nothing special, which is a shame. Staff were very attentive, helpful and welcoming at least, but probably will look elsewhere next time.

Service was really bad. The lady who we believed was the manager didn’t really pay attention to key things such us serving you drinks right on time while your meet was there. We asked suggestions about wines and she had no answers. We asked her the menu and she just forgot bringing it while out meat was getting col. The two runners seemed at their first day. 1 guy was just standing there and biting his nails. He couldn’t even clear our table of used plates and glasses. To be honest, for a 130 £ bill i’d expect a better service. That was pretty bad. First time I went to Maccellaio I was impressed. On my third time i think it’s an overpriced place.

Good meal, unfortunately my wife’s lamb had a little wire in it. No harm done. Staff didn’t charge us for it, which was good.

Strange experience. Food was perfectly nice to be fair, but the service was unbelievably slow, wine way too expensive for what it is (all the ones we tried by the glass weren’t very nice), and for us the actual restaurant vibe, decor etc wasn’t very nice. Unlikely we’ll return.

Nice little restaurant with great Steak and overall good service. Only negative was the wine list which seemed very expensive with cheapest bottle of red starting at £29 moving up to average mid range price of £45 per bottle.

A lovely meal with great service. The meat was delicious and the pasta meal similar. Only comment would be to serve more rustic bread with the amuse bouche and sharing plates.

It was the 1st we visited this restaurant and I have to say was quite a surprising night! We had really nice food and the service was very nice also. The girl that was helping us was very sweet. However, the surprise came with the bill ! We only had 1 starter to share , the main grilled course and 2 sides , plus a caraf of wine (500ml) and paid 145£. Quite excessive if you consider that in different restaurants (such as gaucho) you paid exactly the same but for a much nicer atmosphere and design.

The restaurant atmosphere and service are outstanding. The food especially the steak is not up to par as the other steakhouses such as Goodman and Cut. The prices are much more expensive also. Clapham should be a bit more value for money. I have been @ the Northcote location 4 times.

We met our friend who love meat and he very happy with the meat and wine here. Bone marrow was lovely and t-bone steak fantastic, kids were enjoy their pasta.

I simply couldn't fault it. Food, wine, ambience, service - it was all of the highest possible quality. Macellaio deserves to be a great success.

We were a table of three mates for a boys night out to celebrate a birthday and had a great meal being greeted with friendly and knowledgeable service! The food here is fantastic that I can highly recommend

Food was delicious, with perfectly cooked steaks. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or welcoming to our party including our 3 month old baby.

The food was not that good compared to other branches and my partner felt bad afterwards. Also a staff member was new and made some mistakes :(

Ristorante buonissimo, uno dei migliori provati da sempre in città. La qualità della carne è davvero incredibile e il menu, seppur poco vario, è originale nella presentazione ed eccellente nella riproduzione. Abbiamo mangiato le tartare, una semplice e l’altra con Gorgonzola e aceto balsamico. Sublimi. Sareste tentati di prendere ognuno la propria carne, ma i camerieri che sono davvero onesti, vi diranno che c’e un taglio minimo e che conviene scegliere una cosa e dividerla. Noi abbiamo optato per la costata e... ragazzi, ho ancora l’acquolina! Latte di dolce fritto per finire (pavesini con nutella fritti e palline di crema fritta) e due calici di Nebbiolo hanno portato il nostro conto ad £ 120 finali. Esperienza positivissima, staff preparato e cordiale e menu giusto per ciò che si mangia. Lo consiglieremo vivamente!

Meaty deliciousness, don't come if you don't like to see your supper hanging in the cold store display! Wonderful food & friendly staff. The wine list is quite pricey so be careful. I would definitely come back though.
