rustige ambiance en prachtig gesitueerd aan de st Katerines Dock. De curries waren prima van smaak. Attente en nette bediening. Gunstig prijspeil voor Londense begrippen.

Somewhat disjointed service. Food ok. Seemed a lot of money though for what we had. A bit too spicy for some. It also was a bit cold in the restaurant.

Had a wonderful birthday experience with eight members of my family , we were give great service with a smile , food was great , will revisit soon and will recommend to all .

Food was good but service was very slow. Should work more on this area as food quality was nice but serving staff was less. Recommended for good food and location but not for service..

We had a lovely evening here. The food was great. The staff were friendly and every time around, when you need them. Thank You for a nice dinner. Looking forwards to come back.

Really disappointed with the waiting staff and manager. High priced given locality, for average food quality. They were really slow to respond to requests- 3 waiters in charge of service! Received a lip-stick marked glass which was taken back- after waiter inspected it and said he had seen worse! Later in meal, new drink, exactly same old lip-stick marked glass- now not amusing. Complained, and got an indifferent, non emotional non-satisfactory apology. Manager blaming "new" member of staff saying "I have been watching him all night long" and then blaming poor service/ attitude on a big party going on as a private function :( ..Token gesture of drink taken off the bill, but actually was after a heart felt apology for the service- Won't be going back

Went for a birthday lunch and well the food was okay not wow, it came out cold. We went for the lunch set menu which is okay for the price. There isn’t any mocktail options other than mojito. The starter - prawn Puri was delicious but very oily. And it wasn’t chilli enough. But that’s just me being very picky. Location is great. Wouldn’t really go again.

Food was tasty and portions very generous. Good service. I will be returning. Starters was an excellent chicken tandoori, the curry I had was equally satisfying.

Service was ok & the food was great. Lovely setting in St Kathryns Docks. Restaurant not busy as late on a Sunday but good layout for privacy if it was.

Mala is a very decent choice to grab good quality food and drinks in a nice clean and ambient setting, food is better than the average so called Indian restaurants in London

The food and setting are great, the service slowed down a bit as the restaurant filled up. Not terrible just got a little bit slow.

Excellent meal. Only downside was that one dish wasn't too tasty and no king cobra but the chefs choices were excellent. Enjoyable evening, would definitely recommend.

I recently had a meal in celebration of my birthday at Mala. The food was authentic and delicious. The waitresses serving us were pleasant and helpful. The timing of the meals were very reasonable for a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was a mixture of chit chats, music and the noises from the kitchen; all very pleasant. Would definitely recommend it.

Great food and service. Lots of varied choice too. Will be going back. Would highly recommend. Drink before in the Gouman Hotel with great views over Tower Bridge.

Brilliant food especially the Garic Naan, and Sultan was our waiter and he was really friendly. We’ll definately go there again and the location was great!

I didn't find the staff very friendly and the whole experience was very rushed, they obviously just wanted to go home!! Saying that the food was tasty and the actual restaurant decor and setting was very nice, the staff just need friendly personalities to actually earn the 12.5% gratuity they add to the bill.

Food was flavoursome, timeley delivery. They worked out how to get all the meals onto the one trolley this time, which hasn't always been the case in the past.

Great restaurant, great food, great location. Have to say always look forward to a trip to Mala, highly recommended, turn it into an evening a pop into Dickins beforehand.

We were a group of 6 and were looking for good Indian vegetarian food so this was one of the best choice available in the area.

The location, food and ambiance was good but the service let the restaurant down as it was abrupt and impolite and not what you would expect for the pricey cost.

The food was great, but wait staff was very rude which was really off putting. Read a bunch of reviews about the rude service but figured we’d try it anyway, but I can definitely confirm those comments.

I have been twice now and thoroughly enjoyed both occasions. The service is excellent, as is the food, and of course the location is in one of my favourite hidden gems of London!

Was a lovely place, food was great. The only reason it didn't get a 6 from me was because they got the bill wrong so we ended up with 2 bills in order to cover the dinner. Wasn't a big deal, but it took longer to leave than it would have and then there was a rush to trains. Overall a very good time and service was very quick.

The waiter ignored us several times until the Manager finally took our order. The food was bland, colourless and tasteless. This was my 4th visit but I will not be returning.

Very disappointed. Service was adequate, unusually nobody came to enquire if everything was ok during meal. Wasn’t asked if we wanted to see desert menu or if we wanted a coffee. Food was ok but certainly not worth the bill amount of £60 per head. Had much nicer at local restaurants to home. Unfortunately won’t be returning.

the ambience of the restaurant is really good ... food is great though the quantity of each portion was a little bit on the lower side ... the waiter who served us was very good as well ... but the whole experience of getting into the hotel and settling down on our table which we reserved was utterly insulting ... we felt like we crashed a wedding party and the people were pissed with us ... 2 waiters in particular lacked the simple common sense of how to talk and behave let alone of been a waiter in a hotel

I have lived in wapping and On Narrow street for the last 14 years and always Heard good things about Mala, I’ve always walked past and wanted to go in. We ate last night and my fussy fiancé said it’s the best Indian food he’s ever eaten. He doesn’t say that lightly. I loved prawn purée starter and so much more! The owner gave a warm brandy on the house, he was the kindest man. Thank you so much for your wonderful service and delicious food Vinny!

The location is fabulous and we had a table in the window overlooking the water. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. A very good evening and I will definitely go back again.

I spend a fair bit of time in London, Mala is one of my favourite restaurants, great food and an excellent location. Why not have a couple of beers at Dickins, then head next door for a Mala curry.

Atmosphere, staff and food was all incredible. I have eaten here many times and will definitely go back. I always take out of town family, friends and other visitors who also love it.

The food was very good, the service was a little slow at times , could do with a little more attention to detail sat with an empty glass for ten minutes and no attention. Overall would recommend because of the food😀

Good food, good service, great location but toilets are a bit tired and the menu is missing something compared to my favourite Indian restaurants. I'll happily go back but can't rave.

The waiter and overall service was very good. The food was excellent and some of the best we had in London. We highly recommend Mala.

Excellent food. Good location facing St Katharine Docks. Varieties of Indian cuisines where all of my guests from overseas admire its taste. Must come for those who love curry!

Poor service, waiter did not know about most of the dishes that they served. Some ordered dishes simply did not turn up at all. Management was arrogant.

Very poor service. Not listening and arrogant. We booked 1 month in advance and had to wait 45 minutes before having our table. Not a drink offered ;even water!) While we were waiting. We had to chase the waiters to be served all evening. Food was too spicy. They said “medium spice” but it is very spiced in fact. Expensive and ambiance cheap. Do not recommend.
