About Mario's Ristorante
About the restaurant
Mario’s Ristorante has been a feature on Market Street in Bacup for 26 years, and it is easy to see why the local community has taken them to their hearts. Mario himself has made Rossendale his home since moving to East Lancashire from Pescara in the central Italian region of Abruzzo in the early 80s, and the menu that he serves up is representative of the cuisine of his native land. There are plenty of antipasti, pizza, pasta and risotto, as well as main courses that display the best in Italian cuisine. We recommend the pollo Milanese, chicken coated in breadcrumbs and served with spaghetti and vegetables, or the lamb cooked in red wine sauce. The drinks menu is suitably extensive as well, so make the most of your trip to Mario’s in Bacup by indulging in a vino or two: just remember to book your taxi – and your table, of course – in advance.
