Finding an authentic indian eatery in the Greater Manchester area was a tough ask, at least until Marple Spice opened its doors. Housed in a cosy old brick building on Stockport Road, Marple Spice’s menu reads like a best-of-the-best of what the subcontinent of india, aka the land of spices, has to offer. Whether it’s Tandoori, Massala, Biryani or Tikka - you name it - Marple Spice has it, and prepares it fresh daily for its patrons who make their way down from Stockport and even as far as Manchester for the plethora of tastes and spices on offer here. Be sure to book your table ahead of time, especially for their infamous sunday thalis!
Delicious food and friendly staff, a good choice on the menu . A cosy restaurant . Really enjoyed our meal and will certainly be going again.
Made to feel welcome on walking through the door , nice meal polite service .Enjoyed our evening and going to try and go back very soon
Spent a lovely evening, the service and food was first class. Great restaurant, will definitely visit again.
Great time (due to the company), Great food (down to the kitchen staff), Great service (down to the waiting on staff}. Nice and clean, we will eat there again.
Great food, good service and good atmosphere. We ordered a set meal for 3 that included a mixed starter and a choice of a main course from the menu together will a naan or rice. A nice way to spend time with friends.
Friendly, prompt service and good food with plenty of choice. We always enjoy coming to Marple Spice and appreciate its quiet atmosphere with comfortable seating.
The food was overall good, nice to try some house specials. It was a birthday celebration with 6 people and our table was in a corridor leading to the main downstairs dining room, not a good start. The staff just did the bare minimum, took our order, served our drinks and food. They even starting clearing the table for resetting before we left our seats! No atmosphere at all. Will not return for special occasion.
Great food which was tasty and wasn’t greasy, reasonably priced, excellent wine and first rate, friendly service. Nice music. Perfect for a pre cinema meal. Can park at Asda.
Visited restaurant for first time. Pre booked and just as well as very busy. Great menu. Friendly and efficient staff. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely go back again soon!
Really great food and friendly staff. My relatives from New Zealand were really impressed and wished they could have Indian cuisine as good as this back home.
