Whether or not you’ve ever been to Malaysia is irrelevant when it comes to knowing at your first mouthful that the food at Masak Malaysian Restaurant is as authentic as it gets. Right on Leyton’s High Road, Masak is where you want to be heading for a meal that goes beyond the usual – it’s a thoroughly enjoyable chance to change things up. The menu contains quality as well as quantity and it’s also exceptionally well-priced. Kick things off with Malaysian-style fresh spring rolls, chicken drumsticks with turmeric, garlic and ginger, or the cucur udang, bean sprouts with chives and king prawns, served with a peanut sauce.
The roti chanai is a popular main dish here in Leyton because it offers the carby goodness of a crispy flatbread alongside a wonderfully creamy chicken curry – it’s traditionally a Malaysian breakfast dish, but Masak Malaysian Restaurant serves it all day long. Aside from roti, you can expect plenty of rice and noodle dishes – you can’t go wrong with a nasi goreng – rendang, kari, sambal and the chef’s special mee berdesir that’s sizzling and vibrant. There’s no better place for Malaysian food in Leyton, so book your table at Masak Malaysian Restaurant today!

Very tasty meal, both dishes we ordered were great and served fresh. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Will be back to try the rest of the menu!
so-so malaysian food in leyton. The service was extremely slow and there seemed to be only two people workign there. Some pluses: decor is not bad and redang is ok
