Very nice food and desserts, excellent prices, imaginative cocktails. The waitresses were very helpful and fast, the space had a New York flavour to it. I would go again

Fantastic little restaurant - a hidden gem. It's a little out of the way and the décor is not impressive but the food is fantastic! They serve some of the best pizzas I've ever had. And to top it all off, the meal was very reasonably priced, quite cheap for London actually.

A real gem in Southgate. First rate ingredients beautifully cooked and matched by a great wine list. The staff are most welcoming and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere.

Very Good Service. Small but great choice of dishes and an extremely fast service. I would highly recommend Maverick to anyone who fancies a nice meal out.

Amazing service, great place, great food, and even received shots on the house! I would highly recommend it, and I will personally be going back for another meal or birthday.

Great affordable food. Service is a bit average but really good pizza - both for main and the choc spread pizza pudding. Also enjoyed the cocktails: )

Great pizza, slightly disappointed in the cocktails as they were a bit watery...... But service was great and the atmosphere was fun but not too crazy that I couldn't hear the person sitting opposite me! I had a great time. Thanks!

Pizza was great, service really good. Only quibble is that the cheaper cocktails on the normal list are not included in the pizza+cocktail deal, but that's there call (none of the specials really appealed to me!). But not really an issue.

Great pizza, cool modern decor and friendly staff. My friend and I walked by it for months ... glad we finally went for lunch. Would totally go back!

I love this place. The food is always great, wine delicious and bill reasonable. The olives were tasty, and I had the Parma pizza. Brilliant night out!

Good food, server didn't speak much english but overall a lovely lunch. Well catered for a large team of people. Good local restaurant in Victoria.

Very friendly staff, the food is lovely and fresh and the menu minimal so it doesn't take ages to read through a whole list of dishes - making choices much easier. Good atmosphere too.

Pizzas are a good size and quality, although the number of options is pretty small. Service was mixed - had to ask for table water initially and asked for a refill but it never came. Good friendly banter from the waitresses. Pizzas came out quickly. Garlic pizza for a starter is huge and tasty, and the meatballs were good too (share between a max of two people). Cocktails were great - interesting variety and great deals (2-4-1 before 7pm and £12 pizza and cocktail).

Great pizza and cocktails for a good price (pizza and cocktail = £12) . There is a nice atmosphere to meet with friends. Service ok.

Limited menu but they offered good deals so we decided on pizza and an alcohol cocktail £12 from the very friendly waitresses. The pizza was large,warm and fresh and delicious,the cocktail was freshly made and also very good. We then had two pots of tea total bill £52 excellent for London prices would definitely recommend.

Great restaurant! Lovely staff, DELICIOUS cocktails and fabulous interior. All of this at a reasonable price as well! Will most definitely be going back again!

The food and drinks were both excellent and I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone visiting to the area. The only reason I didn't score higher was that we were overcharged for our drinks.

Very good value, good pizza - much better than high street pizza chains, but not enamoured with the crust which I felt was quite thick and dry. On the other hand, I had a pizza bianca, which isn't almost my best favourite. Good atmosphere, friendly, swift service and a real fired pompeii oven on display. The temporary roadwords opposite probably tainted my experience, I'm sure it would have scored 5 without them!

The staff were friendly, but a little slow in taking our initial drinks orders and forgot to put my remainder pizza in a box to take away (they had to cook up a new one). The food came fast which was good and they allowed my friend to try the red wines, albeit this was because they only had 2 of the 4 available. All in all, I would go again, but due to the limited menu options it won't become a favourite for food just the cocktails and their happy hour (and the 90s music!).

Great pizza. I could eat 3. Well, maybe 2. Nice beers too and very attentive staff. We went at lunch time, think it gets quite fun in the evening.

Great pizza & service! Handy location for nearby theatres including St James, Victoria Palace and Apollo Victoria. Good wine list and cocktails too. Recommended highly.

The pizza rocked, the cocktails were killer, and the staff aced it. We were there for about 2 hous longer than planned. Maverick is a total gem.

Decent food- pizza was freshly made and tasted good. Not much atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Absolutely fine but nothing special. Would recommend for a quick bite if in a hurry.

Lovely freshly made seasonal pizzas. Very reasonably priced. Didn't try cocktails so can't comment. Interior is fun and quirky - look forward to trying the 'winter' menu.

Unfortunately, the service was pretty poor and they then "miscalculated" the bill, despite already adding a 12 and a half percent service charge. Won't be returning.

Pizza was delicious and good value for money. We were there on an afternoon and were the only people in the restaurant so would ideally go back at a busier time to experience it then.

Great food and cocktails. Rather dark inside and not easy to find as scaffolding covers the facade. There was nobody to greet us on arrival so we had to wait, but the service from them on was friendly and rapid.

We received a nice welcome, good service and great food at Maverick, and I was able to use my Gormet Society card. We'll be back!
