Melange - Belsize Park

This restaurant never fails to please. No matter how many friends I take from the Royal Free Hospital, they all enjoy the atmosphere, the food and the great service. A little restaurant with a very big heart! Thank you for yet another wonderful evening. Victoria

The restaurant was fully booked for Mother’s Day so service was painfully slow but food and drink are totally authentic ( combination of French and Italian) and frankly sublime, so worth the wait! it remains our favourite local eatery

Great meal, nicely served, reasonably priced. Third visit to Melange, first in Crouch End, then twice in Belsize Park. The latter is more spacious, but all are good.

Went there for lunch my fife and I. Very nice welcome. Tasty food, lunch menu cheap but of course when you start to add extra like sparking water, cappuccino, meat and spinach (this side could be free or cheaper instead of being charged at 3.50) on the side it goes up fast. Place is clean, wifi works, well done. We will be back.

Great food and atmosphere. Not cheap but worth it as a treat... Lovely decor, friendly staff. Easy to get to and local for us to walk to.

I was very pleasantly surprised — I was there with my wife and 4 kids — the staff was very friendly and kind and the food was absolutely amazing.

We had the set valentine menu. Starter was great. Dessert was delicious. Main was not so great - the steaks were tough and were cooked more than we ordered (medium rare was cooked medium and medium steak was cooked medium / well done) service was fantastic when we walked in.

Absolutely wonderful service and massive helpings of food! Will be coming back! Great cocktails too! Perhaps you could have a regular cocktail list as well as the prosecco ones? Very good

Food delicious as always. Beautifully presented, superbly cooked, taste exquisite. The service was excellent and perfectly timed. The only snag was the music which was terrible but we were told they could not do anything to change it(?) Otherwise, a perfect evening meal in a delightful setting (except for the music).

Professional, friendly service and tasty food. Pleasant decor and sensible prices, with a good choice of dishes. A bit lacking in atmosphere on a Sunday night but would definitely give it another bash.

Our mains came while we were having our starter. We sent it back it and then it took half an hour to get our main course again. They blamed a mix up in the kitchen

We had a pleasant evening with good food and service, However when we got up to leave not one member of the staff showed us to our coats or said thank you or good night...they just chatted among themselves at the far end of the restaurant by the bar... This is poor training from the management

A cosy and baby friendly restaurant, with really nice and smiling staff, that offers excellent food and delicious wines. We highly recommend this place for diner!

The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was as wonderful as my last visit. I did not like the jazzy music but apart from that it was perfect and the volume was low enough that we could talk to each other without it being a problem.

Nice ambiance and friendly and efficient staff. Pricing mid range and is good value. Looking forward to going again do recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy dinner from a varied menu. Fish, duck, lamb all delicious

This is our third visit to what has become our new favourite local restaurant. Consistently excellent in all respects ! The service, food, decor, ambiance even the background music is a treat. Until next time...

We thought that the food on the evening menu was excellent and very good value. Our waitress was lovely and made sure that we got it quickly so we could get to the cinema in time.

My husband & I went with our 2 teenage girls. Several good vegetarian options. The meat eaters were not disappointed with their steak & tuna steak. Lovely surroundings and attentive service. The restaurant was busy, but we felt under no pressure to vacate our table. No complaints from us.

I think they had some serious teething problems and did their best. Not a typical experience from one of my favourite restaurants. I’m sure it’s blip!

Relaxed restaurant, tables well spaced. Above all reasonable acoustics, so you can hear conversations without shouting! Pleasant and attentive staff. The well presented French food is of good quality and the prices are reasonable.

30th December 2017= leisurely lunch, good service, relaxing atmosphere but did not enjoy this main menu food as much as that on the one, two or three course fixed price menus usually available. The bread was tasteless (and toasted, although that was not made clear on the menu). The venison was ultimately rather boring and needed something other than just cabbage to accompany it, but I didn't know that until it came. I had already booked for lunch there next week and I'm hoping the old menu choices will again be available. Previously the soups, beef dishes, pasta and salmon have been excellent so perhaps I just chose badly today. Had this been my first visit, I would not be hurrying to return despite the lovely atmosphere and service, since the food today was not memorable.

We really enjoyed our lunch at Melange. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. The decor is beautiful too and the chairs are very comfy. We’ll certainly be going back.

Excellent steak, cooked to requirements, very fresh salad, decent house red. Staff were attentive, but not intrusive What more could you ask for in a local restaurant?

A Good local restaurant half way between belsize park and hampstead with good space good service and plenty of choice i will definitely return as offers a good alternative to the other restaurants in the area

Melange is a Great local addition and reasonably priced food. Great value set menu good atmosphere pleasant decor food is decent quality although nothing outstanding.

Very well presented tasty lunch from a menu which gave enough variety without being over complicated. Friendly staff and very good value. We will be back soon

Very easy place to eat. I've been three times now in the last six weeks or so. The rib eye is particularly tasty. Nice local restaurant.

We had a lovely meal on Saturday night - I must say that the creme caramel is truly excellent. Good service - the staff were polite and attentive, the ambiance is nice if a little loud as the evening progressed. Comfy chairs with enough space on the table for everything - which doesn't often happen. Good value for money too! We will be going back to Melange soon.

Excellent food and fantastic service in this fusion restaurant that brings the best of the French and the Italian kitchen to the plate. Beautiful building and easy access via Belsize Park Tube or many bus lines. Highly recommended.

We went for breakfast. The food was lovely - we had eggs royale and Breakfast stew (really thick and smokey). Service was quite slow even though the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Getting any of the servers attention once we’d received our meals was a bit of a struggle. It is a fantastic place for brunch and the food and atmosphere are great. Just need to be slightly more attentive to customers.

Absolutely delicious meal. Food of a very high standard. Staff extremely pleasant and efficient. Would love to eat here again and highly recommend. Varied choices too.

The food was great, so was the service and all in all, great value too. We particularly like the selections in the menu, there was something for everyone.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food,the ambiance and the service. Overall it is a welcome addition to what has been a fairly mediocre choice of restaurants in the area. Will certainly visit again!

This was our first visit (tempted by the discount flyer I was given). The food, decor and atmosphere were great and the staff were very friendly.

Nice restaurant, good food and very pleasant service. Prices are very reasonable indeed. Upstairs a good space for larger groups. We will return and bring our friends.
