Great restaurant. Different choices to what a typical Indian restaurant might offer, such as venison and ostrich! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great. All in all a fantastic place to visit and eat.

We dined at MemSaab on Thursday 30th August. The food was just wonderful with service to match. I had come across the name before via the MemSaab stand at the Nottingham Splendour festival. This however was my first visit to the restaurant, I will definitely return. Thank you for a great evening.

It’s was a very busy night so service was understandably a little slow. Food could have been hotter (heat wise) Overall a nice evening & I would definitely go back. I did think it was a little expensive. Staff wise, extremely polite & friendly.

Fabulous evening. The food was great; certainly lived up to the advance billing. Service equally good, very pleasant and easy going staff who coped very well considering the restaurant was very busy. Will certainly go back when next in Nottingham.

Returned yet again with friends. Great service, choices of food and chef's specials and well priced wines/ lagers. Superbly made curries with true depth of flavour. One special was disappointing though with little and stringy lamb. Small bill reduction as limited gesture.

Pre booked table not ready. Left waiting for table. Both lamb dishes over salty too. Because we were late dining it totally spoilt our dining experience with friends. We had booked transport as we don’t live locally. Disappointed.

Excellent tasting food and wonderful, attentive service. Not cheap, but one of the best Indian meals you will ever have. We particularly liked the peshwari naan.

Excellent, tasty, carefully spiced food. Friendly and helpful service. It was clear that many people there were frequent visitors and well known to the staff.

I visited here a few times now, this restaurant is wonderful. It is expensive, but worth every penny. The food is just spectacular. Service is usually spot on but last night we had a very long wait for our mains but it was extremely busy. Wouldn’t put me off though. Highly recommended.

It's the little touches here that make it worth paying more than you would at your average curry house. You are met with a warm towel to cleanse your hands before you eat. Your order is taken on a tablet, your palate is cleansed between courses all in beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

Wonderful evening celebrating our daughter's 18th. Food was perfect as always, and the service was second to none. Lovely little touches from giving our 12 year old his own drink in a champagne glass when we had prosecco, to the complimentary birthday dessert complete with firework candle. A first class experience

Exceptional Lucknowi Dum Ki chicken biryani presented in beautiful pot. Impeccable oaked reserve Rioja with long tannins. Very good service that does not impose on the dining experience.

We Went to this restaurant after graduation. There appeared to be many of us doing a similar thing. The staff were very pleasant and were aware of the subjects that were graduating that day, they had done there homework. The food was good and there was a special desert for the grad. We had a lovely evening.

Food was nice, but was not really worth the price. Naan breads are small and the slow cooked lamb was still quite chewy. Decor and atmosphere was very nice and the staff were all very nice as well.

Without doubt one of the best Indian meals I have ever had - behind the unbecoming facade of a high street front lies a magical place of delicious food and excellent service - it to be missed!

It was our first visit to this restaurant, they produce very good tasty food, glad they serve lamb instead of mutton. Many other places state lamb on the menu, but actually serve mutton. The staff are attentive.

Excellent food. Service was attentive, there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. Only reservation is that waiting staff should be careful in checking how hot people like their food. On selecting hot dishes the waiter was insistent on checking that the ladies would cope with the heat and not the men. For our table - the complete opposite is true - the ladies love the heat - so don’t ask and then don’t check they are ok! The ladies are the experienced hot food eaters. Otherwise - brilliant food and the ostrich was to die for!

Memsaab is rightly considered one of Nottinghams high end indian restaurants. The setting is smart without being intimidating, the cuisine has laudable ambitions without being entirely flawless and the service is the friendly side of attentive if a little studied. We visited during graduation week and thoroughly enjoyed Memsaab. We were not alone and Memsaab is clearly attuned to this to this week in the academic calendar. Without enquiry or bidding a complimentary desert, complete with firework and enscribed 'congratulations' in chocolate sauce, arrived which was as thoughtfully prepared and as entertaining as the meal itself. The butter chicken was a standout dish.

A frequent visiter of Memsaab with little desire to try elsewhere; an excellent menu with a variety of dishes. From the complimentary warm towel at the beginning of service to the after dinner chocolate the service is exquisite.
