Lovely food and made very welcome with 2 dogs. We went for breakfast and there was enough choice for a vegetarian with us too. Would definitely return

Nice food with a menu that makes a change from the standard fair. Service was exceptional, friendly and relaxed which meant that we chose not to take advantage of the 10% off for returning customers.

Really good food with a unique menu, lots of variety. Good price for the high quality. It's a small restaurant, but the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.

Great welcome, service and food. It’s nice to find something a little different in the Lake District. And it’s dog friendly as well! Thank you!

Friendly small, good range of fusion food, attractive decor but that makes it noisy upstairs. Maximum table size for groups is 6 upstairs. Small tables and quieter downstairs

We had arranged a social event but were merely using this as an excuse to eat cake and drink coffee. The staff were attentive and friendly; coffee and cakes were yummy. We’ll be back.

This was a first visit for my partner and I. The food was absolutely delicious and there was a good range choice, from the main menu and the specials board. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to others. We will certainly be dining there again, very soon.

My family and I always make sure we visit Merienda when we go to Keswick, whether it's for coffee and cake, or a meal, excellent food and service again.

Excellent. Been to Merienda several times over the past few years and we'll keep going back. The chocolate fondue dessert is to die for! Thanks.

Loved the atmosphere and the staff were very nice and helpful. My only complaint is that it would be nice to see a couple more vegetarian options on the menu.

Food quality was OK, but could have been hotter. Ambiance is again OK. Service was good and attentive. Value for money is what gave it only a 4.

Fabulous Christmas Meal. Soup and turkey followed by the Christmas Fondue, which was to die for. Yummy, yum. The chef excelled himself tonight. Thank you.

Informal and friendly with a great choice of food to suit most tastes. On our last visit I had a brisket burger which was very good . Keep your receipt and you get 10% off on your next visit .

A friendly cafe/bistro offering unsophisticated but well-prepared dishes in generous portions. We were seated upstairs (mostly couples downstairs) on a quiet October evening but were well looked after.

A warm welcome but was sat near kitchen and an open door. Wasn't cold but didn't look nice. Food was good. Down side was dog sat by next table, smelt horrid. One waitress was stroking the dog each time she passed, I hope she washed her hands!

My husband and I had a lovely meal at the Merienda in Keswick. The service from the staff was great they were friendly and helpful. We had a constant supply of table water which was much needed after a full day of walking. My husband had the special steak burger which came with chunky sweet potato chips, I had the trout they were both great.. we didn't have room for dessert but they looked delicious and a very generous size! We had espressos to finish and they were full bodied and particularly good.. definitely worth a visit.

Food was good but we were sat upstairs and the atmosphere was non existent. The service was also very poor partly I presume because we were say upstairs. It felt like it was our waiters first night as he didn't seem to know what he was doing.

Had a lovey meal with attentive service and an enjoyable atmosphere. Only complaint would be that the meals were fairly expensive for what they were, although it must be noted that Keswick is not a cheap area.

Great food - we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here over a week. Dinner of pulled pork tacos was fantastic! Friendly service and a more contemporary look. Love it - highly recommends.

Food was pretty mediocre - had the burger and sweet potato chips. The chips were greasy and flabby. The coleslaw on the side was soft - had obviously been sitting a while. The burger was just ok.

Whilst the food was very good, we both felt it was slightly over priced ,we waited just over half an hour for the food which was just about acceptable. The staff were very pleasant but there was a limited choice of beer , cider etc and other diners seemed to be confused about the specials and what was and wasn't available on the evening menu so they need to be clearer about that especially outside on menus, some people came in and left because of it. I don't think I'd go again for dinner but when we are back in keswick again we might try lunch. .

A very pleasant change from the average 'pub grub' you get in Keswick. And the staff were excellent too! I'd be happy to go there many times if only we lived nearer. Try it and be surprised.

The initial greeting was "have you booked a table?" and a surprised look when I said yes! Service was initially very slow. It was 15-20 minutes before we were asked if we would like a drink. A poor start to the evening. However the food was good when it eventually arrived.

I've always liked Merienda's, ever since they opened their first branch in Cockermouth quite a few years ago. I'd only used the Keswick restaurant for coffee until last night (most excellent coffee, I might add!) but the meal we shared with friends was superb, and cooked to perfection. The staff were happy to sort out what I wanted with gluten and dairy removed, and there are already several gluten-free (and vegetarian) options on the menu. Decor and general ambiance excellent too. Trying to think of any minus points ... I think maybe a gluten and dairy-free dessert would have been nice - fortunately I was so full with my main course I didn't really want a pudding. (All restaurants should keep a tub of dairy free ice-cream in their freezer. Costs a couple of quid, and would make customers like me deliriously happy!) Oh, and we even spotted a celebrity at the next table! (Though tried not let him know we'd recognised him as we didn't want to spoil his evening.)
