About Meza - Tooting Broadway
Dear diners, please be aware that reserved tables will be available for two hours
A favourite among London foodies, Meza is a tiny Lebanese restaurant with a big reputation. Since it opened in 2011, Tooting’s Meza has been winning over the hearts of lovers of Middle Eastern cuisine, serving up bite-size meze as well as expertly grilled meats and other Lebanese favourites. Some of our favourite dishes include the hummus awarma (hummus with diced lamb and walnuts), the moussaka batenjen (fried aubergines baked with tomato, onion, chickpeas and peppers) and the jawaneh (grilled chicken wings served with garlic sauce). Located on Mitcham Road, Meza attracts diners from all over the city to its Tooting Broadway location – booking ahead is a must.

Meza is a restaurant that’s well-known around London for incredible Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, from small plates of hummus to big platters of hearty grilled meats, seafood and vegetables. Despite the restaurant’s cosy size, this food paradise near Tooting Broadway underground station has earned itself a massive following of foodies, casual dinners and Lebanese-food lovers alike. Using sustainably-sourced seafood and meats from regional farms, the folks behind the scenes at Meza are serious about quality – you know you’re in good hands when you dine here!
Meza in London’s Tooting offers plenty of choices for all palates including vegetarian and vegan options, dishes for meat lovers and more. We recommend going for a portion of hummus awarma (hummus with diced lamb and walnuts) and some tabbouleh before selecting one of Meza’s hearty main courses such as grilled sea bass, kafta djaj (grilled skewers of minced chicken with parsley and onion) or some bemieh with rice, a veg-friendly okra stew served with rice, lentils and caramelised onions. Don’t just take our word for it – make your way to Mitcham Road to try for yourself. Be sure to reserve ahead to avoid disappointment!
Excellent as always. Service was great and food was delicious especially the falafel and halloumi. Will be back again soon that's for sure! Can't wait
The food was fantastic- we tried a range of the warm dishes. The decoration and atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and excellent service. Really can't say anything negative. Again... The food is so tasty! It's my third time dining at this restaurant and I'm really impressed with the flavours.
Really good food, nice atmosphere, and good value for money, the best restaurant I've been to in a long time, will be back for sure!
We visited on a Tuesday evening. It's small and cosy but managed to squeeze our party of 7 in. The food was nice- bread was warm and soft and plenty of it to dip into the houmous. Prices are a bit on the high side, considering that the portions are not large and the mains - lahm meshwi, kofteven meshwe etc come with nothing other than a salad and pickle garnish for around £12-£15 a dish. You have to order the rice or chips sides separately, when I would normally expect to receive them as standard.
Food was excellent staff were friendly Good value for money. Very busy for a wet Monday night but service was still excellent I would highly recommend Mezes Tooting Broadway to anyone wanting a good meal in friendly surroundings
One of our favourite local restaurants. We keep coming back for the great food, service and value for money and if that wasn't enough the staff are really friendly too. Would thoroughly recommend!
Oh dear Meza! Last night was not up to your usual standard. We were squashed into a table by the door and my husband had to lean forward each time it opened! The pitta bread was shop bought and not even warmed up! When I asked for salad with my almost exclusively meat meal I was told they could not provide it! A middle Eastern restaurant that cannot provide salad is no longer authentic! We were greatly dissapointed last night and feel that complacency has set in to this once great little restaurant.
Delicious food, table if 4: we had lots of hot mezze dishes rather than mains which worked well and quick service. A good atmosphere. Reliable and yummy!
Great foood, for a great price. We didn't even have mains but were full from the lovely choice of hot and cold meze. Would go again!
Decor needs more to it, looks a tad clinical... And maybe more attention put into their Just Eat orders rather than the restaurant diners but it was a busy Friday night.
Food was lovely but service was quite rushed and we felt like we didn't have the option to just leisurely eat our food. We were in and out within an hour!
Slow service, food was ok. Hummus with lamb was good and enjoyed the prawns, however overall felt the food lacked flavour. Nice décor and atmosphere though.
We did not like the food on that site so we will go back to the Tooting Bec branch the staff were nice and on point
Restaurant couldn't honour our online reservation as they were too full so we had a takeaway which was excellent food, this is a small and very popular reastaurant , which can be noisy
