Milan Indian Cuisine nestled in Birmingham’s upmarket Jewellery Quarter has been serving modern Indian cuisine on Newhall Street. Under the guidance of head chef Parvinder Singh Multani, Milan Indian Cuisine is the home of contemporary northern Indian cuisine, characterised by lighter plates and less oil used in the cooking process, than traditional Indian cuisine to Birmingham’s in-the-know locals and curry fans from further afield looking for something a little more subtle than chicken tikka, half chips and half rice.

The Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham is a traditional curry house serving fantastic curries, prepared with expert care by Milan Indian’s cuisine’s head chef Parvinder Singh Multani, but without the gaudy backdrop that is so common in lesser Birmingham curry houses. Milan Indian Cuisine is unrivalled in its commitment to producing north Indian specialities, prepared simply, and plated beautifully. Choose from a menu littered with chef specials like lamb seekh gilafi, a blend of spiced lamb, skewered, rolled in paprika and onions and then roasted in the charcoal oven, or one of the menu’s varied vegetarian dishes.
The dining room on Milan Indian Cuisine’s Newhall Street location is a simple, chic affair. Think straight-backed chairs in dark wood, napkins in wine glasses and white tablecloths. This is serious Indian dining after all. The city centre’s premier Indian restaurant has the capacity to seat 100 diners, and can serve as an ideal venue for a private function. Milan Indian Cuisine’s private functions can be catered either by buffet or by a set menu. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday for lunch and dinner, and from 5.30pm on Saturday evening.
