Lovely atmosphere and great food. Close to Sadlers Wells and we enjoyed lunch there before the matinee. Good wine list too. 25 words is too much.

Had the roast lamb rack, it is so good and would recomend it. Service was good and the waiter/boss is very friendly. White wine that she recommended worth trying.

Service good and waiter friendly ambiance good, felt like being in Paris Food was readily served, but quite average Quinoa overcooked and leeks a bit chewy in the quinoa bake

Never to be repeated. Service awful and at 5 on a Sunday they had run out of so many things. Food they did have mediocre.

A lovely, small restaurant in an attractive part of Islington, not far from Saddlers Wells Theatre. Good for couples, friends, groups and families. Friendly and attentive service. A lovely friendly and relaxed atmosphere. A good menu with plenty of choice, and the meal we had was delicious, and good value. Altogether a very enjoyable experience. I wasn't keen on the choice of background music - maybe something softer and more relaxing would be better - but that was my only criticism! I would definitely go there again when I next visit the area.

You really need to book a table as the food is very good value and the wine list had a good choice. We will go again when in the area.

We went on News Year Eve, after visiting Sadlers Wells and were treated to great food, perfectly cooked and the staff were extremely welcoming and give us a wonderful warm party atmosphere rounding off a fun evening. Will definitely go again.

Could not fault this restaurant. Excellent service, very friendly, delicious food, very reasonable price AND they do wine in carafes. We were going to the theatre and we were able to enjoy our meal and be out in plenty of time. The management of Miz En Bouche is very very good.

Very sweet staff, good and interesting choice of French orientated food well presented and cooked, nice place with good atmosphere. Slight minus was that quite a few things on the menu were not available - but it was 27th December and a 2 day bank holiday must be a nightmare for restaurants. At least they were open!! Also good vegetarian options.

Quaint little restaurant but the food was somewhat ordinary. It is close to Sadler's Wells though but we won't be rushing back to this one.

It is a restaurant with a nice familiar feel to it. The waitress kindly accommodated my mother when she asked for a different table due to her hearing difficulties. The food was delivered promptly and was tasty. My steak was a perfect medium. Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. An easy recommendation.

Poor service. I had finished my starter and had my plate cleared before my husbands starter arrived. His main course arrived with his starter. Inedible fish. Very disappointing.

Brilliant fresh fish, tasty deserts. A good place to eat before/after visiting Saddler's Wells. Worth a stop in a relaxed atmosphere, good wine and cocktail list.

After a previous excellent visit, this time it was quite disappointing. We chose from the Christmas menu. The broccoli soup was ok although not very hot, a theme which carried through to the main which was actually cold and both our meals had to be returned. after several minutes they were back on the table and a bit warmer but not piping hot. Still, we ate it. After this we forsook any dessert and left for the theatre. Will probably go elsewhere next time I'm sorry to say. The staff were friendly though.

The food was great and reasonably priced. The service and the owners/staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a really nice start to a visit to Sadler's Wells to see Red Shoes. I would recommend this restaurant !

Pleasant friendly service, good food and some reasonably priced wine. Did pretty much what it said on the label. Not quite sure why I am not more enthusiastic, maybe because my table was a little cramped but I am sure we could have moved if I had asked.

very nice food, great service, pleasant staff - the only problem was that we were sitting in a draft although we had booked at least a week in advance.

It was very busy the day we went and I'm glad we'd booked a table. The staff coped pretty well with the numbers though and were friendly and helpful. We opted for the fixed price menu which was good value, simple, french food done well. We'd gone for lunch before a matinee performance at Sadlers Wells and were out in plenty of time in spite of every table having been taken. I thought the wines were a bit on the pricy side, but perhaps you can't have everything!

Mix en Bouche would have been a great pre theatre restaurant but was hopelessly short staffed, and they were not coping at all well. The food was quite good and the space cosy.

Prompt service and good value. We went for a pre-theatre meal and were pleased we chose this small, friendly bistro. The menu offered a wide enough choice, whilst being small enough to give us confidence that the food was all freshly prepared.

Tucked away beyond most of the other eateries on St John's Road it would be easy to miss this little gem. Our pre- theatre brunch experience here was faultless. Great value for money, simple but well cooked food, delicious cocktails and attentive and friendly service. Don't let the slightly garish lime green awning and decor put you off. I've already recommended it to my mum!

excellent meal, great value, pleasant environment, friendly efficient staff, WHAT NOT TO LIKE? The whole evening was a great experience, would highly recommend to all - particularly if going to the ballet a one min walk from here but even if not please do go this young friendly team deserve for the restaurant to be a huge success.

The food was extremely nice and the staff lovely, but we had to wait for our table and the second helping of butter requested never came. The bill was also incorrect initially. The delay in getting to our table almost made us late for our matinee performance at Sadlers Wells.
