The pretty Greater Manchester village of Uppermill lies not far to the east of Oldham and, despite only having a population of about 7,500 when combined with the neighbouring village of Dobcross, is home to a number of restaurants that should be on your radar. One such place is Muse, a local favourite up on the High Street that combines a wine bar and restaurant set in a gorgeous heritage cottage, complete with courtyard for alfresco dining and drinking. Breakfast can be a continental affair, with a croque madame and coffee, or a hefty full English, as you please. From there it’s deli boards, wraps and sandwiches and main courses that take in the best of British and European cuisines. Another way to be inspired by Muse is to go for the three-tiered buffet options, laying on a number of gourmet dishes for a fixed price per person.
Muse provided great service and good food. The setting is conveniently placed in the centre of town and staff were efficient and friendly. A good night out.
lovely surroundings, smiley and attentive service, waitress knowledgable about the food. Quality and variety of food on menu was just excellent. Really enjoyed, highly recomment.
