Nakhon Thai - Eltham

Good food, the dumplings were cold and not sure the chicken was breast but enjoyed the meal

Had a lovely starter course but then we waited almost an hour without our mains showing up. We had to ask several times about our food because we have movie tickets. Eventually they rushed out some food. The pad Thai noodles were undercooked and we had to send them back. Had to box most of the food because otherwise we would have missed the film. They tried to charge us for the pad Thai we never received. Eventually they removed charge.

We enjoyed the food a lot but the service was quite slow. The bartender was on holiday so we couldn’t order cocktails. The jungle curry was far too hot despite us asking for it to be made medium as specified on the menu.

Fantastic meal at Nakhon Thai, the service was brilliant and the food absolutely delicious.

As usual the food was delicious and amazing. And the staff are excellent, attentive but not invading on your personal space. Myself and my wife have eaten here many times. And it is always a great experience. You can taste that it’s home cooked food.

The food was quite nice. But terrible service. We arrived at 7. Left at 9.30. Waited aaaaaaaaages for our food. Kept getting told 5 more mins. Lots of takeaways kept leaving so think they prioritised them over us. Only one other table of 2 in restaurant. We were 3 adults and 3 kids. Main, starter and drink each. Bill came to £230. Very expensive. Got one of our dishes wrong but we’d waited an hour for our mains so ate it anyway. No way were we waiting for them to correct it!

Very expensive for the experience. I ordered rice and it was bit lumpy, I ordered prawns mild, they came very very spicy. I ordered a bottle of still water and before I could finish my glass a lady topped it up with what I can imagine was tap water and my glass went cloudy. The desert was the biggest let down, literally a warmed banana in a pre packet pancake for over £9 per person. We sat near a driver who waited in the booth to collect a delivery. He was sat there for a while. Just a very basic experience and not worth the money.

During our visit for lunch, we experienced a pleasant atmosphere with impressive food and service. The quality of both contributed to an enjoyable meal.

Initially I was discouraged by how they decorated the place: the roses on the wall really felt like some sort of a tourist trap (which would sound unusual in Eltham). The food is actually good and fairly authentic, but unfortunately the bill was too high for the service and what was offered.

Visited here the first time tonight and everything was brilliant from the attentive waiters -even asking how spicy we would like the curry and small details that went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. The food was some of the best thai food I’ve tasted in London and south east. Would highly recommend this gem of a place just off Eltham high street. (Goes without saying but food is so so much better than Giggling Squid).

The food was undoubtedly delicious, cooked well and full of flavour - definitely 10/10. The meats were tender and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The dishes were presented very well and the interior design is very tasteful elegant. Service was very friendly, however we had to give a couple of reminders on a very simple drinks order that took too long. Something for the restaurant to take note of, there were way too many delivery drivers (Just Eat etc) constantly in and out which is very unsettling for diners trying to relax, it spoiled the atmosphere. Also, as nice as the food is, it’s a little overpriced for the area and also, I’ve dined at some very good authentic Thai restaurants across London which are much cheaper. This was £45 per head without alcohol, with 2 mains, sides and 1 starter shared.

Very tasty food. They were happy to add spice according to our wishes.

Main meal was fantastic but the platter for £23 is diabolical!! That should not be called a platter, waay too small for that price

This restaurant exceeded my expectations! It was so nice I honestly could not fault anything! I think the spice level is perfect and I will definitely be back to try more dishes !

Thank you for being so accommodating and understanding of our large party! We were seated at the far end of the restaurant and given more space than needed for our party of 14 with 5 young children/babies. Food was delicious as always :)

My wife and I found the venue by chance approximately two months ago and we have not looked back since. I then decided to invite my friends to dine to celebrate the birthday of a good friend. The service, food and atmosphere was superb. We are looking forward to having many more meals with you.
