Properly liquid, lunch at Neighbourhood down Spinningfields’ The Avenue North should begin with a glass of Veuve Clicquot, a classic Mimosa, or a Cuban Bellini (perfectly acceptable in polite East Coast company now that the Caribbean island is in the process of ending its long-standing isolation from the US). Luxury appetisers like the lobster tacos take the best of New England and give them a Tex-Mex twist – exemplary of the New American cuisine that Neighbourhood proudly stands for. Another fusion feature on the menu is the restaurant’s sushi selection, made using exclusively line-caught and sashimi-grade tuna and Scottish salmon from Loch Duart.

Overall, the kitchen at Neighbourhood focuses on executing international cuisine as it is in Manhattan, offering a dining experience speaking to the upscale gastronomic experience of the skyscraping borough but with a European flourish.
