I'm sorry to say our meal was one of the lunchtime specials ( Beef Teriaki) the beef was tough with too much sauce. We had apple crumble for dessert and it was very stoggie. The hotel has such a beautiful setting but the food lets it down.

Good food great service ...... carvery had finished by the time we arrived and that’s what we wanted ...... drove back to Ballycastle as we didn’t want pub food

Lunch was very nice we had a big carvery dinner you definitely get what you payed for. Service was really good too. Would definitely recommend this place for lunch. Reasonable enough prices.

Excellent restaurant. Good service and extensive menu. Food was of a good quality and well presented. Great views from the front. Hope to be back soon

Great food, great service considering the place was packed, very reasonable price. Nice relaxed bar area for a few games of pool after our meal.

The food was nice but it was so hot none of us could finish our meal. One of our party is 90 years old and blind yet we were put in the middle of the restaurant through a maze of tables with very limited space for 4 adults. I was also shoved out of the way by a member of staff while waiting for the carvery.

Excellent food value for money will deffo return lovely atmosphere was made to feel very welcomed by the lady who greeted us and lead us to our table every member off staff had a smile

Nice atmosphere but not too crowded. Speedy, attentive service and helpful in accommodating our kids choices. Food was good and portion sizes just about right. We had dishes from both regular and vegetarian menus. No complaints.

Good service and good food. The restaurant was busy, but there were plenty of staff and the food was served quickly. Great location and good price for the large portions.

Very disappointing evening, service atrocious - from 6.30 pm to just after 8 pm only had received starter. Manager aware of problem by myself and other customers, would we return.....................not for a long time as other great restaurants to dine at in the surrounding area

Great service and good food. 3 for 1 meneu was excellent value. Was seated up stairs. Brilliant view looking over th coast. We will be back soon.

good food and reasonable portions but sometimes service is very slow even when not at its busiest and bar service slow as most seem to go for a wander or too busy speaking to each other

Was very disappointed the band was playing in a hot and crowded back bar. Bands normally play in restaurant. Had to move from our table. UNsatisfactory

Excellent from the moment we walked in. Friendly welcoming staff and first class customer service throughout. All meals were Absolutely delicious! Portion sizes so big you will certainly leave happy and with a full tummy. Great value for money with 3 courses for price of your main. Have already booked again!

Service was good however the food disappointing particularly the desert. I asked for the fresh fruit salad (without) the mermange and got a small pot of fruit mostly grapes and had to pay £2 extra for the pleasure

We were really dissappointed with our meal. The food was very poor quality with very little taste, despite paying "additional suppliments" to their set menu. Service was slow and only 4 of the 5 desserts arrived, we had to chase my daughters which arrived long after we were finished. The duck spring roll, (singular) contained no duck but plenty of grated carrot. The steaks were tasteless and champ just mash with scallions thrown in. The knickerbocker glory was just a glass of jelly and the tuckshop dessert was a scoop of icecream with a few mini mallows and a lollypop. Childrens meals were supposed to include a glass of dilutant, however we were charged £2.50 for the dilutant supplied. Then upon paying i stood at the bar for ages, watching two male members of staff mess about then disappear out the back. A few minutes later a man out of uniform came bahind the bar to settle the bill. We have been staying in Portrush six days now and each lunch and dinner we have tried a different eatery. By far here has been the most disappointing.

Number of tables was maximised. Restaurant then becomes very noisy. Food was good, service good and well priced. Staff very courteous, attentive working hard to prevent unnecessary wait

Service ok but food not great and incorrect with parts missing better places to eat on the north coast. Also quite a wait between courses

Lovely food, great value for money. Glad we were allocated seats upstairs as downstairs was very busy. All in all it was a great experience.

Waitress was nice but service in general was slow. Our children’s drinks (orange cordial) were warm. I got a Pina Colada and it was warm also. Had to go to bar and get a glass of ice to try and make the drinks cold and drinkable. Food was good. Overall not a good experience.

Met with a lovely maitre de on arrival who was very helpful. Rapidly moved downhill after that. Girl taking orders at bar gave the impression she’d much rather be else where and more less barked at us with our order requirements. Really not the type of attitude you would associate with service industry. Mediocre service up to main course- after that we waited 35 mins for table to be cleared, however that was after we went to reception to complain. I personally wouldn’t visit this establishment again and I guess if the owner had any idea that this was the level of service offered they would NOT eat here either. Too many restaurants in this area offering first class service and great value food. I would suggest try elsewhere unless I got it completely wrong and I just got this place on a bad day.

Amazing value for money and such good food , although t’s slmost impossible to walk in off street and advance booking is advised. Pretty faultless mral

Lovely restaurant, staff very friendly and attentive. Had a cracked glass and asked for a new one, staff were very apologetic and replaced the glass. They were busy so we had to wait a short while on food but it was not a bother yet the staff were still over apologising for the wait. There was live entertainment which was a nice touch but maybe a bit too loud. The food was lovely and the menu had plenty of choices. I would go back. At the end of our meal though we waited for quite a while and I had to ask for the bill. Was a great night, just a pity it was rounded off nicely with the great service we’d had throughout. Overall, great place.

NYI is a cosy place with sea views. The food is tasty with lunch and evening offers to suit everyone. Staff are always friendly and good with the kids.

Not bad but could have been much better. Most foods very well cooked (on verge of being overcooked). Borderline average. Friendly staff. Need to book

Good food, great service and nice atmosphere. The evening food deals are very good value and offer a lovely sea view with a window seat.

After I asked for the waitress to remove the dead fly from my plate, we sat down to an 'ok'ish meal. I am not sure if I could handle returning.

Tasty food at Sunday carvery. Sponge and custard for dessert. So good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Home cooked taste and no dishes!!! Will be back.

Beautiful view, fantastic food and wonderful staff! For our anniversary & birthday meal! We will definitely return again. With great value for money as well! Our waitress had such a fun & courteous manner, we were very relaxed with her attitude. 5 stats from us!
