Fantastic food, service and liked that Nick came out of the kitchen at the end of the night to come around the tables and ask if everything was OK, a nice personal touch

first time visitors. Market Menu offered a good selection of starters, mains and desserts at a reasonable price. Food was excellent. Drinks costs glass of wine, lager and a soft drink seemed to be expensive though. Good to support a 'local' restaurant - would have no hesitation in recommending this.

Good food, good service, good value. So why do I feel that I haven't been out for a lovely dinner and why don't I want to rush back? Update the restaurant maybe? Don't rest on laurels.

Excellent food. Great service. Would definitely recommend and we will most certainly visiting again in the near future. We both had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection.

Great food in a very friendly and efficiently run restaurant. The menu offers many very tasty treats.; all expertly cooked. The beer is very good and the wines are very tasty and reasonably priced. We will be back to Nick's soon I am very sure.

In there we felt good and comfortable. The music was perfect. The food was an amazing taste. Maybe the waitresses should be more natural not so feigned, especially the two brune ones.

The food was delicious. Best I've had for a while. The service was attentive but not in your face. Not cheap but value for money as it is so good.

We were a bit anxious approaching the restaurant - the frontage isn't very impressive and the area isn't very "up-scale". However, our worries vanished on entering. The décor and staff were both very welcoming,. For example, when they saw that we had an elderly lady with us, they immediately asked if we wold prefer a ground-floor table (our reservation had been booked for the first floor). Even though they were very busy - it was Mother's Day - we never felt rushed, and the staff seemed happy to take time with us. We were equally impressed by the quality of the food. The portion sizes were just right, and the food was hot and very well cooked to our requirements. We will definitely be going back.

Another fantastic meal, with a lovely atmosphere. Each time we go, we try something different, but every time they don't disappoint. Can't wait till we go again

Been to Nicks several times it really is a hidden gem. Six of us dined last night and everyone's food without exception was amazing! The fish dishes especially are excellent! Quite cramped for space so book early

Decor could do with an improvement seating and chairs very old and wonky food good though but - expensive I would not return for another visit, City Center prices in very dire part of town

The problem with Nicks is that it was too good! Wanted to go for a long long time and we weren't disappointed, amazing food, amazing and attentive staff but not in 'in your face'. Will most certainly be going again and I would highly recommend if you are reading this review you do too!

Great food and service as always. Would have liked to keep the table a while longer though and there was a cold draught coming from the front door opening and closing a lot. Would recommend an upstairs table.

Wow!! Absolutely gorgeous meal. Perfect valentines meal. Lovely ambience and atmosphere. I had garlic mushrooms for starters and they were delicious. For my main I had lamb shank in a mint and red wine sauce, again so tasty - divine!! I finished off with a Baileys ice cream Sunday; very nice but wish I'd gone for the ferro rochea cheese cake, like my husband. It was our first time at Nicks but definitely not our last! We loved it.

Amazing food looking forward to going again steak was cooked to perfection I went for the pepper sauce and could not fault it definitely recommend

Nicks is a hidden Gem in Bolton. Great menu, constantly changing using the freshest ingredients available. Extensive wine list and even a whisky list. Excellent staff and the food...It speaks for itself! It's delicious, fresh and exciting. The ingredients are top quality, locally sourced and award winning. Nick himself even comes out to ask how everything was at the end of the night! Would highly recommend and will be returning shortly!
