Lovely food , friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. I recommend the takoyaki and the sashimi.

Lovely staff and food at comparably afordable price. Was immersed in Japan by the decor. Only issue was limited menu in comparison with larger chains. Would definitely recommend to a friend and return myself.

Food is lovely and very quick service but after food we waited along time for the bill and were not asked if we’d like extra drinks or anything else.

Such a great little restaurant with fab food and drinks. service is always swift and polite. can be a little cold in the restaurant at times but you soon warm up with a Sake! will continue to return.

Amazing food at a very fair price. Great service too. Would definetly reccomend the tempura Prawns! They also have traditional Japanese seating but I would always reccomend booking as they are busy

Great food...we always go for chicken katsu curry as we can't resist this. Good portions, food served hot also. Haven't tried the special lunch menu items but will next time as looks good value.

Easy, relaxed restaurant with a good selection of Japanese bar snacks, starters and mains - with several specials. Really enjoyed the sushi and katsu don. My daughter also appreciated there being a vegan menu. Will be back again soon

The service was not that brilliant. No one came to see if everything was OK, if we wanted drinks, more food. We had to keep trying to catch the servers attention. Usually thing are much better. Food good.

They were fully booked for a Tuesday night in March which is always a good sign! The only reason I've downgraded from a 6 rating is because once the food and drinks orders were taken and the food bright to the table (all very quickly), there was no table service offered and nigh on impossible to get anyone's attention. The food was as delicious as ever and this time there was someone in our party with an allergy and they were brilliant at exploring options he could eat. Can't wait for our next visit!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food came quickly even though the place was busy and we all enjoyed everything the menu had to offer. There is really something on the menu for everybody- even people who don't like sushi.

I am a regular and I always have a great night here. It's the best authentic Japanese food in Bournemouth for sure. Service is very good, the owner and staff are warming and friendly and so the restaurant has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere too. The Food and drink is not expensive, it's very good value for money and I am often surprised with the bill at the end of the night, especially since the food and quality of the food are so good. I would always recommend The Nippon Inn without a second thought.

Lovely place, really nice staff and price definitely affordable. Maybe a little choice of maki and nigiri rice was (this time but usually not) a little hard -cold. Sesame green tea and wasabi ice cream are really nice and do not taste “artificial “ . Noodles are gorgeous ❤️

I'm a vegetarian regular here and am never disappointed. Great range of Sake too :)

Always excellent - we did need to get waiters attention a couple of times but better that than feel rushed. Everything delicious especially the salmon nigiri and pork katsu curry

I love Nippon Inn! Have been several times. The decor is fantastic, feels like you are somewhere else! The service is lovely, everyone has a smile and are super polite. The food comes within time and its fresh, with lovely flavours. The sushi rolls are amazing, Gyoza, katsu curry, teriyaki chicken!! ummmm... Great and the best its having a fantastic meal at a great price. Choose local business instead of corporative so called Japanese food, win-win situation and wont be dissapointed. Thanks Nippon Inn!

Real Japanese food, plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans, a really good selection of sushi and sashimi, lots of nice drinks and a very friendly staff. I strongly recommend it, one of my favorite restaurants.

Food was delicious, service was prompt and bill was very good value for money! The yakitori and asparagus and bacon were to die for! Wish I'd gone for the wasabi ice cream after!

Great food and service! One of our favourite Bournemouth restaurants. Top tip, the chicken katsu is divine and is half the price of Wagamama's! And Asahi Dry on draught, what's not to like?

It was great, lovely food really good service just a bit "cool" with the door to the garden open, especially when people came in and out and the front door was open.

Very friendly and helpful staff - a waitress even sat with us at the end and taught us how to make the origami swans! Unfortunately, they didn't have gluten free soy sauce (despite having a gluten free menu) which would have made sushi rather bland.... we ended up going home to fetch our own!

Absolutely LOVE this restaurant! The food is exquisite and the staff are amazing. The decor transports you to Japan for a couple of hours. Highly recommended!
