We outstayed our welcome but having a great afternoon with friends visiting from overseas. Staff extremely accomodating and very polite when asking us to leave as big party planned. LOL

Nice and fresh food, had the gambas and teriyaki salmon and noodle. great service. Place was clean.

Lovely little bar. Service was good and great range of food/drink. Large portions. Roast Beef was slightly overcooked but everything else was nice- very decent roast potatoes.

Had seafood platter x2 ,great choice of seafood,lovely presentation. Highly recommend

Food great , staff great. But the lack of a manager to deal with the 7 very drunk people was a miss. Sharing every detail of there intimate lives whilst shouting and jumping around was a real shame. If we hadn’t already ordered our meals we would have left. Once our favourite place to eat , time to look elsewhere

Fantastic food. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. Quite slow service, but with all the food cooked fresh to order, not too long really. Not somewhere to go if you’re in a rush. That apart, would highly recommend for quality of good.

Really great food and service. Good choice on the menu. We had oysters to start, beautifully fresh and nice choice of accompaniments. We chose 5 tapas to share with bread and side of chips all delicious. I’d definitely recommend, I’d suggest you book in advance it’s always busy.

We shared a table with people we had never met before, managed to get two separate tabs, the food was amazing oysters, mussels, scallops, pork bites, gambas, cod bites, patatas bravas, the wine fabulous- hubby throughly enjoyed his pints of estrella, the company, service and food all fabulous! 1st time in Leigh-on-sea for us, would we come back to no1 cockleshed….? 100% yes!!!!

All freshly cooked, proportions were all large. Particularly liked the garlic mushroom starter and the linguini.

Delicious food and great service. We had the prawn and salmon linguini and salmon teriyaki. Will definitely be returning to this pretty little gem overlooking the water.

We ordered the seafood platter which is almost £60. First there were no mussels, then there were no oysters, then they “found” some mussels from yesterday (which tasted dodgy) they said they would add more prawns etc. we asked for a discount for no oysters but didn’t get one. Staff were lovely though.

Tapas was lovely but one miserable waitress meant we didn’t stay long.

2nd visit to this restaurant and it won't be the last. Great menu and food was lovely. Staff very friendly and attentive without being annoying. Recommend to everyone
