Friendly staff, and good food. Just wished they peeled their potatoes - not everyone likes skin on chips!
A great time with delightful waitresses happyto oblige on a very hot day. Our first visit which was a gift from grandchildren but will definitely return. Our main fish courses were great. Thank you.
Great place sitting outside in fine weather. Food OK but not special
Fantastic Food! Fantastic Service! Fantastic location! We will book again 😊
Very pleasant attentive staff, delicious food and a fair price
Quandoo is closing down. This is a planned, phased process and our platform remains available until 30 September 2026.
Had a very nice time waitresses very attentive and pleasant
A little pricey for what you actually get but the restaurant looks nice and the staff though light on the ground are good and pleasant. Not sure I’d go back anytime soon though
Lovely food and location with service excellent service, highly recommended
Lovely experience - we sat outside on the terrace. Reccomend
Had a lovely Meal and really great service will definitely be back
Fantastic venue. Friendly staff Food was mazing We will definitely be back
Good overall, service slow to start, but pleasant when attended to...pleasant atmosphere apart from next table, very loud talking and laughing...
Excellent restaurant in great location with great views and friendly staff, serving well cooked, well presented seafood, and drinks at acceptable, if somewhat, London prices.
Food was lovely service a little bit slow but everything else was good
Food was good as usual, service fine as usual. Shame the tide was out.
Service and food for our group was great Relaxed atmosphere
Good food, quick service, polite and smiling staff. Will come back
Overall, food, atmosphere and service were great. This will become a regular spot for us. The scallops and the garlic mushrooms were a little underwhelming but at least the scallops were well cooked. Beautiful view and the terrace is a great spot on a summers day.
Amazing staff went out of their way to change our table as was hot in the window. Lovely food.
Had an amazing lunch, good service and wonderful atmosphere recommended
Lovely food and venue and was well looked after .
The food was phenomenal. We had prawn pill pill for starter and popcorn cockles. I had sea bream for main and it was just fantastic. Beautiful setting aswell. We will come again next time we are in Southend.
Nice food, presented well. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean toilets.
Went for breakfast 👍 great food lovely staff will visit again
Waitress very nice there was no rush as we were not ready to order. Food very nice I had the Salmon atmosphere very good lovely position
Amazing food. Very helpful and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!
The staff were lovely. With the exception of the cod and chips, the food was lovely.
A great menu, especially good for food limitations. Good and friendly service.
Service was very slow as only 2 waitresses doing about 20 tables but the service they gave was great food was very good on the whole I think it was just bad management off the work rota
Service was extremely slow! Only 2 waitresses for a busy Saturday summer evening! They were trying to manage everyone but forgot orders and which people had been seated. Food was good, very fresh and hot on service to us. Just service in general was very slow and poor.
The atmosphere was great ! The starters were fab then the mains came and it all went downhill from then as chicken burger was very dry , chips were dry and cooked from frozen it seemed ! Prawn linguine had no taste and I could I could have cooked it better ! I mentioned it to the waitress as we had left most of our mains on plate but she didn’t seem interested . Don’t think I’ll be returning again with friends! Dissapointing to say the least !
Good was amazing, service was exceptional, whole experience was delicious. Lovely afternoon early evening with family.
Food was ok service was very poor there was one Girl Alice who was working her socks off everyone else can’t see why they was there, it took half an hour to get our drinks to our table we started to order two at a time. There was dirty glasses all over the bar and no one cleaning them.
Level of service very good. We had a nice table inside with a pleasant breeze. The food we ordered was lovely. However, if we were to visit more frequently (this was our first visit as a test run) we would find ourselves running out of food and wine choices as the menus' were fairly limited. Too many mains based on pasta or noodles. We liked the starters menu and enjoyed four dishes as a shared Tapas style starter.
Food was great but the worst service I’ve ever had. Sat for 20 mins without a menu, didn’t bring one until we asked, waited 45 mins for drinks. When waiting staff went to take the menus away we said wait we want to order food, they slammed menus down and walked away.
Menu was good with a variety of dishes. Staff were cheerful and attentive. Lovely to sit in the outside area and look over the estuary. We were bought vouchers as a Christmas gift and had not been here before but we will definitely be back..
My favourite restaurant in Old Leigh. Food fresh and plentiful. Excellent value for money. Can never fault the service - attentive but not rushed. Menu to suit all tastes
Our 1st visit and we were impressed. Great vibe and fantastic meal. Staff were excellent accept for 1 who was unhelpful and lacked the attitude that the others had ...
Arrived to table with crumbs all over our chairs , had a broken glass served to us on table and starters was over cooked.
Friendly staff, lovely setting on a sunny day! Def recommend
Staff are lovely. Great location. Food was good. I would visit again
The restaurant was great. No delays, food good and service very quick.
The staff are friendly. Seated on time and the tapas was lovely, however, my pasta was bland and the prawns were tiny and overcooked and the salmon was dry and tasteless. I would order tapas again for sure but not the main menu.
Excellent food service setting. Only setback seated near table where backing chair refused to adjust her seating so one of us rather cramped
Waited too long for our drinks after asking two people three times, our food was finished before finally our drinks arrived.
Very friendly staff, food lovely my only gripe would be. We sat inside and as the outside was busy, we felt we were forgotten, had to ask to order more drinks. But I would defo rerun and hopefully get a seat outside next time
Amazing food and service, very friendly staff. Will visit again soon
Really lovely place - waitress was great and very attentive, food was delicious, music great and views beautiful. Great spot! Only slight knock down on review was quite expensive vs other local cafes/restaurants.
Excellent food service and location . Only slight niggle is that it was very busy and the music was competing with the noise of the customers . Maybe turn the music down on busy nights
Expecting some great food looking at the gallery pictures but very average. Thai scotch egg wasn’t runny. Whitebait was good however, Salmon and prawn linguine small flakes of salmon and the tiniest prawns we had ever seen. My rib eye wasn’t a great cut of rib eye and wasn’t cooked very well so a bit chewy and sinewy. The staff were great very friendly.
