They serve excellent food at reasonable prices. Wide choice of guest beers so plenty to keep you going back. Lovely rural setting and country feel to the pub.

Love the atmosphere, food and service...no matter what time of day or Occassion; and this particular lunch consisted of one visiting mum, my 2 year old daughter and a new puppy.

The atmosphere in the pub was good. Staff were pleasant. Temperature was a bit cool. Food was very average especially for the price- steak small, ham fatty.

Nice pub with good food. The only issue that we had was that no one pointed out there was a specials board, so the menu felt limited.

Proper pub - decent range of well kept ales, a log fire, dog-friendly, and great service from the staff. Almost forgot the food - also excellent!

Indifferent service. No knives and forks, or paper napkins, wrong meal given at point of serving by 'staff' to member of group after asking who was having what. Atmosphere good.

Went early for tea and service was great and kids enjoyed listening to the live music. Food was just ok though and a bit overpriced for the quality.

Nice food and atmosphere, staff were helpful. Tip for the guys serving, don't be so hasty punching the amount in to the credit card machine, some of us may want to reward you with a gratuity. Tip for the restaurant owners, turn the heating up upstairs in the restaurant, - nice cosy fire downstairs, freezing upstairs - you ruined a great evening out and all the attention on the food is wasted. Everyone had coats and thick jumpers on, observation is everything. Put this right and you have a great place to eat.

Cold eating area, undercooked burger, onion rings that were over cooked (to the point of being burnt and were more than likely cooked twice.) Shame as they do great beers. Maybe they should just drop the food and stick to ales.

Pre-booked a table for 8 for lunch with a group of friends, all of us from Leeds stopping off on a day out. We were all impressed with the quality of the food. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the range and quality of the Real Ales available was excellent. It's just a shame we don't live closer.

Fresh home cooked food, roaring fire and a great gin and tonic! Oh and the dog was welcome too! Did book a table but only got busy as we were leaving.

This is an excellent old style Inn with good food but spoiled only by the fact that despite our meal being early evening, several standard menu items were unavailable which severely limited our choice. Staff were however excellent and obliging.

Good food, very good beer, but very noisy (both the music and the general crowd). More lively pub than restaurant, but still mid-week probably quieter and lunch -time too. Recommend for the food and beer.

Staff helpful and friendly, but not intrusive, and food well presented and delicious. Good range of beers available, many from local breweries rather than the usual big few.

Great Sunday roast. The pub has a good selection of Ales and Lagers that change regularly making it a pleasant drop in on the way back from the station. Quieter upstairs than in the downstairs bar if you're eating with the family.

Visited the Norfolk before and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere, range of beers and wines. Food is great value although less pastry on the pie, less potato wedges, less tough gammon would help! Gents toilet still without lock and toilet roll holder after more than a year. Now the Norfolk has established itself, growing up and maintaining a lead is required, which if ignored would be a disappointment considering the hard work that has been put into revitalising both the pub and village.
