tasty sea food, fast cooking, cute personal. what more to wish?
Very fresh fish. Nice atmosphere. A larger choice of draft beers would be nice.
Excellent food, and very friendly and professional staff. Great location and lovely decor
very good restaurant. Very friendly and attentive waiters. we had a kid's menu as well as the traditional fish and ships and everything was very good. I recommend!
It is difficult to write about this restaurant without repeating myself: I don't live in London but do eat lunch at North Sea Fish Restaurant perhaps five or six times a year. The high standard of the food and its presentation, and the friendly ambience of the dining room, are consistently maintained. It is a pleasure to eat there and to take friends knowing its total reliability to provide good meals at reasonable prices.
The food was excellent. The service was terrible. We waited half-an-hour to even place our order, and only then because we had to catch the eye of a waitress. Then it was a lengthy wait for the starters to arrive. When the mains came we were given no cutlery and had to wait for a waitress to send someone else to get it for us. No one even asked if we wanted a dessert, so I never even saw the dessert menu. However, all three of us decided to have a glass of port. After a time, the waitress came back and said they had no port, so we opted for dry sherry, which in my mind is an aperitif, NOT an after dinner drink. We had no water on the table, although we asked for it when we placed our initial order, so we asked again and had water with our sherry! The restaurant was full when we arrived, but there seemed to be no organisation for who was waiting each table, as we were just dealing with whoever's eye we could catch. The food was terrific, however.
Fabulous fish and chips; the rock eel or huss is not widely available and underrated but this was a superb example really fresh and moist. The large portion took some eating. The medium haddock was also a generous portion and perfectly cooked. Lovely chips and good mushy peas. Restaurant prices were fine given the size and quality of the fish and endless supply of chips although the portion supplied was more than adequate for us; the mushy peas were perhaps a little overpriced.
We have visited this restaurant before at lunchtime but this was our first evening experience. The place was very busy and there was a lively atmosphere. The staff were polite and attentive and the food was, as ever, excellently prepared and presented. It is clearly on the 'tourist list' for the 'fish and chips' experience and they would not be disappointed. Recommend you make a reservation for an evening visit to be sure of getting a table. Like Arnold, "We will be back".
This place is not one that you would necessarily come across on a random walk through the common areas that tourists tend to visit while in London. It's well worth planning for a dinner night out at North Sea Fish Restaurant for some super good, authentic fish and chips!
It's delicious, fresh, elnough quantity and affordable. The restaurant is clean and have enough space and the stuff are friendly and their service are quickly. Nothing to say fish and chips are delicious but sauteed and grilled finish are also delicious. The appetizers are delicious, too. Sometimes, it's crowded. I have gone to several times this restaurant, I think that not only tourists but also a lot of the traditional locals go to this restaurant.
