Very nice staff and atmosphere. The food was amazing. Haddock and chips very tasty. Fish nicely cooked and not greasy. Best broccoli side dish I have ever tasted.
Excellent fish&chips and superb service. After many years it confirms to be a reference for F&C in London. We will definitely come back for our next tripz
Great place Fish is so good and fresh I will come back
Everything was superb.. The fish. The preparation. The servers. The wines. We dined there last year when we flew in from Ottawa in Canada and will certainly be back.
Very well cooked fish and plenty of variety. Matzo batter is a good option. But, like a lot of places, it would be better if they didn't play music.
The food was excellent. The service was terrible. We waited half-an-hour to even place our order, and only then because we had to catch the eye of a waitress. Then it was a lengthy wait for the starters to arrive. When the mains came we were given no cutlery and had to wait for a waitress to send someone else to get it for us. No one even asked if we wanted a dessert, so I never even saw the dessert menu. However, all three of us decided to have a glass of port. After a time, the waitress came back and said they had no port, so we opted for dry sherry, which in my mind is an aperitif, NOT an after dinner drink. We had no water on the table, although we asked for it when we placed our initial order, so we asked again and had water with our sherry! The restaurant was full when we arrived, but there seemed to be no organisation for who was waiting each table, as we were just dealing with whoever's eye we could catch. The food was terrific, however.
The fish was, as usual, excellent. One slight frustration: we booked a table online (via Quandoo), and the earliest midday time available was 14:15; but the kitchens are scheduled to close at 14:30, so some options (pies, specifically, other than the [excellent] smoked haddock fish pie) were no longer available. So be aware that after the lunch hour rush is over, the time is limited.
Very good fish, had the halibut, perfectly grilled. It took a while to serve it but was told it is because it is being grilled fresh: can’t really complain, it was worth the wait!
Myself and work colleagues often visit here before a nightshift. Service and food is impeccable. Always very fresh fish and the refil chips is a fantastic touch even though the fish is more than enough to fill you up
Excellent British fish and chips at a very reasonable price. Staff super friendly and helpful and service was quick especially considering the busy Friday night when we visited. Will visit again for sure.
The best Fish and Chips in London, with a very good selection of fish and refillable chips. The staff is very helpful and the restaurant has a very "vintage" vibe and I love it.
staff very friendly and helpful. Always lovely fish and very large servings. Had a wonderful time with friends. Thank you, we will be back again.
It's delicious, fresh, elnough quantity and affordable. The restaurant is clean and have enough space and the stuff are friendly and their service are quickly. Nothing to say fish and chips are delicious but sauteed and grilled finish are also delicious. The appetizers are delicious, too. Sometimes, it's crowded. I have gone to several times this restaurant, I think that not only tourists but also a lot of the traditional locals go to this restaurant.
Visiting from the USA - 2nd time this week we’ve eaten there! Love the fresh taste of the fish and the fresh coleslaw is to die for!
Great food. Good service. Big portions. Nothing bad to say about it at all. Would def recommend it to anyone. Take out joint right beside it.

Delicious, very tasty and well prepared fish and chips. Prawns and onion rings very well cooked. Very busy, this is not a fast food shop!
Lovely fresh fish, haddock pie first rate, service unpretentious and prompt, crumble home made, clean and simple decor, restaurant one of the best of its kind.
Small place, good food... they have also a take away next to the restaurant. Reccomended to every one who is looking for a nice fish and chips.
North Sea Restaurant's usual high culinary standards maintained; friendly and efficient staff; pleasant atmosphere - indeed ideal for the working lunch I had there on Thursday. If I lived in London I would eat much more frequently at this restaurant.
Lovely food, best fish restaurant in London. The staff are always friendly. I always have my grilled plaice on the bone and it’s beautiful. The calamari is fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.
We have visited this restaurant before at lunchtime but this was our first evening experience. The place was very busy and there was a lively atmosphere. The staff were polite and attentive and the food was, as ever, excellently prepared and presented. It is clearly on the 'tourist list' for the 'fish and chips' experience and they would not be disappointed. Recommend you make a reservation for an evening visit to be sure of getting a table. La Réservation est très rapide et simple . J’ai fait ça Depuis la France pour un dîner à Londres . Je le referais c’est sur North sea fish est le meilleur fish and chips j’y vais à chaque passage à londres
Great restaurant, brilliant fish and super service. Three of us had smoked haddock pie - loaded with fish and scrummy. Other had cod and chips again lovely fish. There was a queue waiting when we left. That says it all.
This shop was used by three family members. Even for families who are not familiar with English, they were friendly. I enjoyed taste and texture very much.
Excellent oasis, just a few steps away from the madness of Euston Road, friendly helpful staff, great service and superb food, fish and chips just like they used to be! A must place to visit.
Great food and friendly service. Also well located from our hotel. We would have liked a better beer selection but the wine list was plenty adequate.
Le fish and chips est délicieux. Les serveurs sont très agréables. Ils ont pris leur temps pour nous expliquer le menu en parlant doucement. A refaire
Excellent meal: massive portions of fresh fish with nice accompaniments. My only criticism is that "bread and butter" is not a baguette! Very good value.
The place to be in Bloomsbury, tasty and fresh fishes, and a pleasant and efficient team. Thanks a lot for this bistromic step at London. Jacques
Food was fresh and tasty. The service was just as good as the food. Great place to enjoy nice seafood at a good price. I will definitely go back.
It was really good. The jumbo version was really big. Next time i will try the medium version. Thank you for the best time ;)
Went with friends for dinner. Had high expectations which were exceeded. Wonderful fish, great chips, good desserts. All served in a very friendly manner. Well worth a visit.
Great fish & chips, very helpful and attentive staff. Very nice atmosphere, very clean, food was fresh and hot. Staff were very helpful in explaining some items on the menu. We enjoyed ourselves.
Plenty of fresh fish options, grilled or fried. A few non seafood choices, the chicken pies is especially good. Wish there were more beer options. Servers are very friendly.
This is a highly original restaurant which features old fashioned fish and chips. The quality of the fish is tops. You can tell it is very fresh. The choice of fish is also excellent. I had plaice on the bone which is very hard to find in London restaurants. Chips are hand cut and made. This is a haunt of taxi drivers and people in the know. I loved it.
Really beautifully cooked halibut and chips. A cafe ambience, clean and efficient. Worth a visit if you enjoy fish, but book as gets busy. A selection of well cooked vegetables for side dishes.
The white wine and limoncello were not chilled! As the room temperature was 30 degrees, I would have expected the clientelle to have known better than that.
