Very friendly and efficient staff. The cod and chips was amazing but my grilled halibut was truly out of this world, my complete to the chef for cooking such a fresh fish to perfection. All washed down with a very pleasant house withe. Perfect

The sea bass and salmon were delicious. We enjoyed our meal so much that we recommended North Sea to relatives who live in London. It was a delightful experience.

Great food, great service - could not fault at all. We also had really nice wine to accompany our fish and chips dish. Would recommend

we had some problem with the service. We order 2 fish&chips and a tap water. But the tap water never arrived, we asked to 4 different waitress before to got it. And we asked also to change table because of the air conditioning was on top of us, and they changed finallly after we asked second time, but because food was already served, they asked us to change table after that.... What the sense of it ? I don’t know why happen this, we were dressed as tourist, but the place didn’t seem to require a costume to enter.

Friendly, Fast and Flipping tasty. I had Haddock & chips with Mushy Peas. Quintessentially English and it was wonderful. For London food the price was very fair, even the beer! I will visit again.

My wife and I have been coming to the North Sea Restaurant since 1988, every time we come to London (almost yearly). We find the fish the best and freshest that we have had in London and the prices are good. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it.

We had a lovely meal. The food is very fresh, and the fish is delicious. We explored the menu a bit -- the fishcakes are a nice change from fish & chips!

We went the sit down restaurant, and ordered fish and chips. It tended to be an older clientele...later a few younger clients arrived....The crispy battered real fish fillets were very large portions... a jumbo portion easily was more than enough for my wife and 13 yr old daughter....the chips seemed average, the battered fish was a little on thicker and oily side than we prefer, and the fish was moist and tender. Served with basic Heinz ketchup (blah), tartar sauce and vinegar...Overall good value for the quality and size of the fish.

Nourriture excellente, poisson frais, service déplorable. Mise à part la plus jeune des serveuses qui était adorable et très professionnelle, le reste du staff de service, notamment la patronne, était antipathique et peu souriant. Hygiène des tables laissant à désirer (tables collantes, chiffon tombé par terre et marché dessus est réutilisé directement pour nettoyer les tables suivantes ...). Service à revoir ...

Sehr gutes und reichhaltiges Essen, alles lecker zubereitete Fischteller im Hausmannskost-Stil. Auch das doch kleine Restaurant hat eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Einziges Problem: Wohin mit Mänteln und Jacken?

Great place! Take away on one side and a small sit down area on the other! I am an American so for me this was the best fish I have ever had. It was clean friendly and nice also you can have as many chips as you can eat!!!

Very good fish & chips as always and friendly service. Will keep coming back. They have improved the situation with regards to smell of fried coming from the kitchen, but not solved the problem entirely

Our fish, which was fried in matzo meal was crisp and delicious and eventhough the chips were a little soggy, this didnt spoil the enjoyment of our meal. We shall be going again soon to this ever popular fisf restaurant in Fitzrovia.

The staff and service were just great - they catered for my grand-daughter’s special diet very helpfully and positively. I strongly recommend it to all. GD

Food and service are excellent. A bit noisy when the Restaurant is full. Best to book if you want to be sure of a table.

Fabulous fish and chips; the rock eel or huss is not widely available and underrated but this was a superb example really fresh and moist. The large portion took some eating. The medium haddock was also a generous portion and perfectly cooked. Lovely chips and good mushy peas. Restaurant prices were fine given the size and quality of the fish and endless supply of chips although the portion supplied was more than adequate for us; the mushy peas were perhaps a little overpriced.

It was good, everyone was nice. Maybe a little bit noisy but this is due to the number of people ! I recommend it !

Superb fried fish. We all had different - rock, skate, halibut and cod and all were very happy bunnies. Chips good but mine were a bit scratchy but that was how my friend loved them. I dropped my wally otherwise I would have given 6. Best fish and chips in town.

Great fish as expected. Portions are very large so couldn't finish chips! Sorbet and cheesecake were very good and again very generous portion. Would go again.

I had the Rock eel and it was very tasty. My friend ordered the cod fish and chips and it turned out superb. Service was good too.

Just a small mistake about the command, you serve my wife green beans when she orders chips. But we are still happy about ours evening !

The fish was okay but the chips were small broken pieces soggy just like overcooked boiled potatoes. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere was nice.

Excellent fish and chips with friendly and relaxed service in an old-school restaurant. The ‘refillable’ chips is a great offer — in theory! We couldn’t manage more than one portion!

Simple food, done well - the hallmark of any really good restaurant. It isn't cheap, but it's definitely worth it. Service was decent, but the waitress seemed a bit overworked

Great recommendation by the staff to opt for the Grilled Seabass. Fish was tender and filling. My friend had the fish and chips and enjoyed it very much.

Great food, very pleasant and helpful staff and friendly atmosphere. Pleasant space with comfortable chairs and a large window at the front overlooking the quiet street where the restaurant is situated.

Service was great and the Fish and Chips was excellent. Would recommend to everyone to visit. It is centrally just 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross station.

It was nice enough food. My fish was a bit chewy, but the rest of my group seemed to enjoy theirs. Perhaps I was just a bit unlucky.
