Third visit for us …expecting a more adventurous menu of an evening ( previous visits lunch time) nevertheless a very enjoyable evening Staff very polite and attentive would certainly come again ..your booking system is simple and reassuring. Thank you.

We were in the area for a Christmas event at cragside and found the Northumberland Arms on Google. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Very kid friendly and the staff were lovely with our little girl. The pub was decorated for Christmas and we had crackers on the table, much to our little girls delight! Food was absolutely incredible. What a gem!

A bit of a wait for our good, as they were so busy - but definitely worth waiting for! Amazing!! Lovely roast beef and giant Yorkshire pudding 😀

Unfortunately a very slow service, was almost an hour after our arrival before we got our food.

Xmas menu again this year was very good The deserts, sticky toffee being outstanding . The only slight issue the sprouts were not sufficiently cooked, otherwise mains good

A nice quiet (though discreetly festive) atmosphere on a Monday evening (though it was two thirds full). Good polite unfussy service, a pleasant homemade mulled wine to start, two excellent starters, then a generous turkey main with several trmmings for me and nicely cooked and presented duck for my partner. No room for pudding! My red wine was very acceptable though not special. Overall the quality justifies the prices, which are quite high for a pub but fine for a restaurant. (It is both.)

Delicious food. Friendly staff. We ate early so the restaurant area was quite quiet. The bar area had more atmosphere and cosy fires. Will definitely return.

Lovely Sunday lunch and great service from the lovely, friendly staff. Our table had beef, lamb and chicken and everyone was pleased with their choice. Puddings were fabulous too!

Another lovely visit. Some really interesting options on the menu tonight. The pork belly was particularly delicious. Service was good, as always. Just a bit disappointed by the kids chocolate brownie. We've had it several times before and always been delicious. Tonight it was incredibly small (one bite), dry, and cold. Won't put us off though, but hope it improves for next time, as our daughters favourite.

First time visiting NA in a long time after a recent friend recommendation. Did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. We are planning our next visit soon. Lovely to see Claire and Trevor.

Stunning pub easily the best decorated for miles around. Menu not overly vast but excellent food more in the pricey side but worth it for the standard of cooking and pub decor ! Dogs always welcomed, staff pleasant (mostly) great experience all round would highly recommend

Visited The Northumberland Arms for the first time and had a great experience. Food, staff, surroundings were outstanding. We normally stay at another local hotel, but safe to stay we will be trying The Northumberland Arms hotel next time we're up here after Christmas, as if the rooms are half as good as their pub, it'll be great!
