Food very tasty. Tableware a bit odd for the modern but smart ambiance of the restaurant eg tin tray for rice alongside the elegant white plates to eat from. Instagrammable ceiling!

We had a delicious meal, in fact one of the best curries we have ever had. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Good with gluten free as have a coeliac daughter.

Food was fantastic as always, however where we were seated was not good, it was a very small annexe with 2 side benches and table with hardly any room to move. Would recommend you ask not to be seated there if you are a party of 6-8.

Very cosy setting, in central Clifton. We were greeted by good portion sizes both starters and mains and delicious too! A great selection of authentic dishes! They have a vegan tasting menu on offer which is a unique touch.

Fantastic food, great favours and plated to please. The service is excellent and polite. The menu is unique with great variety and choices. The restaurant is modern and intimate.

Having eaten in Dishoom’s around London and Chilli Pickle in Brighton a number of times this is easily as good. Great depth of flavour and excellent service.

Nutmeg is a fine Indian restaurant up in Clifton. The menu features dishes from the various regions of India, and my colleagues and I -- who have been three twice -- have sampled a variety. High points include the spicy lamb, more or less a vindaloo, and the Hyderabadi biryani.

Fantastic Food , So much better than the Mint rooms. I have eaten biryani in lots of curry restaurants and they are never as good as you make yourself. But I had veggie Biryani at the nutmeg and it was fantastic........

went for the special January tasting menu which was excellent. Staff clearly proud of their food and take the time to explain what is being served.

A real gem in Clifton Village! Our first visit but definitely not our last! Food was amazing and the service was spectacular. Well done Nutmeg, can’t wait to come back with friends.

Great food as always, but has felt a bit rushed the last couple of times we have been with mains coming out as we were finishing starters.

A beautiful restaurant, with charming service and excellent food. Particularly delicious was the lamb chops, the Mangalorean squid, and the chicken chettinadu curry. They were not able to take tips on card, but we were so impressed we went out to a cash machine and came back with £20 to thank the staff. A perfect experience.

Great food, authentic curries to choose from and a good atmosphere. This is on a much higher level than your average curry house, elwould recommend.

Wonderful Service. The menu is different from the norm. Well presented and very tasty, if a tad warm, so ask about how hot the dishes are. we will definitely return.

The great food starts with the popadoms and especially the beetroot that comes with it - how we’d love to have the recipe! This is not a ‘curry house’ but a proper Indian restaurant, with a really impressive menu. So it’s great for special occasions, but good value for money nevertheless. It’s quite small so booking is recommended. One of the best restaurants in Bristol, no doubt!

We went here for a double birthday, and as always it was great. Very tasty food: our friends loved their biryanis and we enjoyed curries with king prawns, which were excellently cooked. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere good - love the peacocks on the walls! This is the place we bring friends who don’t know Bristol, and it’s always a really lovely occasion.

Lovely food, prompt courteous service and a good atmosphere. Cost is reasonable for the high quality of the food. This is our second visit to Nutmeg and can definitely recommend it. Looking forward to our next meal here.

Although I do eat meat I opted for the vegan curry last night.It was delicious,full of lovely sweet potato,green beans,peas,carrots and cauliflower all perfectly cooked in a gorgeous creamy coconut sauce, and a good size portion.I would certainly order this again.Once again I really enjoyed my trip to Nutmeg and will be going again soon I hope.Have eaten there a few times now and the food is consistently wonderful.😀

Nutmeg never fails to deliver without doubt the best Indian food I have tasted outside of India itself. Really looking forward to my next visit. What to choose thou ?

Fab food though quite hot for us. Friendly service. Busy, and a bit cold/draughty by the door. Will definitely come back. Beer a bit pricey. But really nice food.

As always, a superb dining experience. By far the best Indian in Bristol with unique dishes and tastes. We return regularly and always introduce friends who visit. They have all left amazed and wishing that this restaurant was local to them.
