The Food was lovely but service was a bit slow, we could of understood if it had been very busy but it wasn't busy at all.
Best place in the city for food and drink! Delicious food, brilliant choice of Gins, lovely Team of people who clearly love their job! Going back in February for my Birthday ♥👍🍷
Good pub food, had scampi and portion was small. desert wasn’t the best, Eton mess but was really a glass of thick cream. Best bit was the gin menu!
Wonderful meal with great atmosphere! Great customer service, bistro steak was cooked to perfection and the chocolate brownie was to die for with the chocolate orange ice cream.
Very relaxed atmosphere, the food was delicious. The gin list was fantastic!!! The staff were attentive and very helpful. Overall we had a lovely night and would highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a relaxed night with great food and drink x
Went to celebrate a birthday. Lovely food and plenty of it. Steak was cooked perfectly, homemade chips. I had the venison and it was delicious. Very attentive staff. Will definitely be back
Will definitely be Back, loved the whole experience. Good was delicious. I had the beef and black pudding, melt in the mouth stuff, veg were delish. My friend has lasagne, loved the flavours. My hubby had Robert the Bruce burger, struggled to finish it but loved it. We will be back. X
We all enjoyed our main meals, desserts were very sweet and lacked fruit and meringue Maybe need a few more options as for fussy eaters or run the full menu alongside the Sunday lunch one The staff could be happier as it did lack a bit of atmosphere!
We had the brunch breakfast which was very nice and good value. The food seemed good quality however sausages were barely browned. Very attentive waitress
Amazing food as always. The venison fillet with chocolate and red wine sauce was out of this world. There was still room for a sticky toffee pudding.
Good food in a relaxed atmosphere, we both left very full. Value was also good and would recommend as a good place for lunch in Carlisle
amazing food yet again, will definitely recommend and will return in the new year
Excellent menu. Fantastic meal and brilliant server. Despite it being a quiet Wednesday night in the lead up to the busy Christmas period there was still a lovely atmosphere. Music playlist was perfect as well. We will be back very soon.
4 of us ate sunday lunch and we all really enjoyed it. Very generous portions. I would highly recomend it. We will be back soon.
Nice place with the type of menu which is quite common in Carlisle burgers, pies etc. Perhaps a more varied and extended menu would've given it more stars.
Beautiful food and setting/decor is great. Poor service on a busy Saturday lunch time for drinks etc however food wait was not long. Brunch is very reasonably priced
Great service and food. Burgers are amazing and probably the best in Carlisle. Would recommend The Old Bank to anyone out for a meal and amazing choice of food and drink.
Lovely food good atmosphere would definitely be going back would recommend that you book in advance especially at weekends and holidays thanks for a lovely evening
Food was great although scallops were very salty. Service was slow - took a good hour to get our food! Otherwise great...would return but hopefully get fed quicker!
Tasty food, good choice on the menu, friendly and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice decor! Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending to everyone.
Visited with friends, was very quiet probably with it being a Wednesday, we were seated quickly. Food was lovely and the staff (waitress) was lovely and helpful. Would deffo recommend
Excellent food, very friendly and helpful staff. Good ambience. Waiter told us about wines that were on offer at £10 per bottle which made the evening very good value for money. Will definitely go back.
Great food. Great service. Fine wine friendly atmosphere would highly recommend this great little restaurant for just a intimate meal for 2 or a small dinner party for a few you.would not go wrong here
Throughly enjoyed our dining experience. Relaxed atmosphere , friendly staff , lovely food. Would certainly book again and recommend to others to try the restaurant
Nice restaurant. Not too much choice although the food was good. The pie was so hot it congealed the gravy so additional gravy was provided very quick. No British beers amongst their craft ales on draught which was a pity as a nice bitter would have gone well with the pie and mash.
