As ever, brilliant. Sea food crepes, Fish Pie, Creme Brûlée with a great Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Imogen's service - Mmmmm The best restaurant in Wales INMO

Wonderful food, great menu choices and excellent service. We really enjoyed our lunch, and the set lunch menu was excellent value for money. The citrus trio desert was particularly impressive!

Utterly amazing as ever! This restaurant is well worth the drive from Wolverhamptom. The food is astounding and very reasonably priced, and the service is second to none.

Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Once they found out it was my birthday I was even greeted with a balloon! Staff were very attentive and polite. We will be going back very soon!

Fabulous food, with an excellent menu of choice. A variety of drinks menus to suit various tastes from cocktails to wines and beers. Service was second to none and we will definitely be returning.

I’ve been going to On the Hill for years now and I’ve always had a good meal. I would certainly recommend it both for standard of meal and service. 😊

The restaurant was really busy on the evening of our visit yet service was excellent. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and shown to our table. All staff were extremely friendly and polite. The atmosphere is just right, busy but relaxed and informal. The menu was really varied and if you love fish as we do the menu was brilliant. Fresh fish is brought in every day, lots of meat dishes also and vege choices but most importantly all the food was delicious. Having discovered this place tucked away at the entrance to Ruthin Castle, we'll definitely be returning.

The food was fantastic as always, the services was great as always! Brilliant meal for very reasonable price, excellent quality ingredients used to there fullest!

The food was very good but the portions were too big for us. We hate to waste food and tried to tell staff we only wanted smaller portions not expecting a reduction of price but it seems that variation in portion size was not an option. I think this may dter us from coming again despite the quality of the food -so would recommend this is consideted

Absolutely amazing food. Could have eaten so many things on the menu but we were delighted with all of our starters and main courses. Great choice of drinks too and really enjoyed local cider. Too full for dessert! Brilliant service too. Thanks!!!

Our first visit to On the Hill and the food and service was exemplary. The black pudding starter was sublime. I loved it. Followed by the Thai Curry. Slightly disappointed that the rice had peas in it (hate peas) but the disappointment didn't last long when I tasted the heavenly chips that also came with the dish. The two courses plus entrees when we arrived just pushed the puddings out the window, but next time we'll be ready to try out the puddings. Can't wait 😊 Top job On the Hill xx

A brilliant place! The food is imaginative without being pretentious and always of the highest quality. The service is friendly and efficient. I do not know of a better restaurant anywhere! We have eaten there regularly since it opened - probably about forty times - and have never been disappointed.

We have never been disappointed when dining at On The Hill. The atmosphere is excellent as is the service and food. It has the full package.
