Absolutely brilliant! Novelty of the food being cooked at table is brilliant . Lovely owner who is really friendly and nothings too much trouble. We had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend

First time visiting on The Rocks but certainly won’t be the last. Great service, ambience and food. Highly recommend for something a bit different. Don’t know why we’ve not been before now.

Cooking your own dinner might not be everyone's idea of a dining experience but we loved it and will definitely be back. Staff were great too

Apart from my soup initially turning up cold, we had a fabulous meal with our friends on Saturday night. Our friends had a previous bad experience when the restaurant was under its previous ownership but they were glad that they gave it another try. The core menu has remained largely the same over the years but they now do regular specials and the drinks / Cocktail menu is now very extensive.

First trip to On the Rocks very impressed with both service and quality of food and we will be going back. The steak cooks perfectly on the lava stones

Lovely food and great staff! Definitely come again. I also felt that the food and wine was very reasonable, we also didn’t feel at all rushed. All the team are so friendly too which makes all the difference.

We had a lovely evening where we were celebrating my husband's 65th Birthday and his retirement. The food was excellent and the staff extremely attentive.

Cant speak highly enough of On The Rocks Dean and his staff never fail with the food and service we always receive. Took my wife for her birthday as she loves it there starter and main great as always but deans famous rasberry and white chocolate cheesecake was unbelievable best ive ever eaten. Great night with great food.

Chef/waiter was very polite and down to earth. Explained all the dishes very well and cooked them to perfection. Quality of the meat was superb. Well priced and will definitely be returning. Thanks for a great evening

dean was most welcoming as soon as we opened the door he explained all about the restaurant his knowledge of all the drinks on the menu was really good the food was excellent along with the service

Nice restaurant, Great experience if you are want to celebrate with something a bit different! However our waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing and didn't explain what to do, even though she asked was it our first time there ! Spoke to us once when we ordered our drinks...(we heard other waitresses explaining what to do to customers). Chef was good and explained about the specials on offer and food was great, not an ounce of fat on the steak!

Quaint restaurant, with a unique selling point - cooking red meat mains food on the rocks yourself. Staff were friendly and approachable. The food cooked by the chefs is also delicious, we will likely be returning.

Food was nice if a little on the expensive side. Lacked a little atmosphere. Service was also mixed depending on who you got. Would not rush back.

Great concept with the cooking of meat at the table on the volcanic rock. Meat was fantastic and flavoursome and staff could not do enough for you.

Good ideal cook on the hot rocks. Each medalion of steak tasted different. Service is friendly and polite. We will visit again P'S the baked camanbert was gorgeous, the best we have had anywhere.

Really friendly staff, quick service, food is fresh and really tasty. It's pricey but actually worth it. The sharing platter for 2 which is around £22 per head is where you choose 3 steaks (or tuna, scallops etc) is great but too much for 2 people

Wonderful evening for my wife's birthday, had seen all the reviews and was on our list of restaurants to visit, courteous staff, exceptional food, experience over all to quickly, can't wait for the return trip.

Loved the concept, service was excellent and helpful. Food was well presented and fresh. What more can you ask for. The restaurant is a small cosy environment, excellent for couples and larger parties too. This is a must for any visitor to Bromsgrove.

Thoroughly enjoyed the evening at 'On the Rocks'! Food and service was excellent. Certainly different to usual restaurants with the volcanic rock and cooking your own food. Looking to go there again soon !

Lovely little find in bromsgrove, you cook your own meat and fish, the service was great and the food was just perfect. The manager is a really nice guy and he's a northerner like me x

Great service, loads of food and great to be able to cook your steak exactly how you like it. Would definitely recommend the mid-week 3 course set menu.

Great place and fab food. Dean was so helpful and attentive. Great place to go with friends and family, fabulous eating experience loved every minute of our time at this place :)
