Food was good with exception of dried cauliflower gratin no apple sauce!!

first time at ounce and after reading the reviews iv been wanting to try you for ages unfortunately it did not live up to expectations i brought my parents to treat them for easter lunch but was disappoint es as none of the veg was cooked and was still cold and hard meat was nice just abit disappointing other than the food the waitress was so friendly and welcoming along with the bar staff !! thank you

Staff very friendly and attentive, had to wait quite a while for our food to arrive. Food was nice and hot on arrival and cook as all like it, some, med rare, some well done. Would recommend.

I have been visiting Ounce in Bishampton for about 18 months now and every time is an absolute pleasure. The food is incredible and £1 per ounce offer on butchers cut steak on a Tuesday & Wednesday is fantastic value. They specialise in steaks but they have a few other options on the menu and they always sound tempting. The sides and sauces are perfectly proportioned and wonderfully tasty & they change them with good frequency so there is always something new to try. The venue itself is what you'd expect from a country pub but with a lovely contemporary feel and is cosy yet spacious enough that you don't feel you're intruding onto the table next to you. The staff are warm and welcoming, especially the manager who is always very pleasant. They offer great service and even in the busier times never leave you waiting for long. I have recommended this place to so many people and even though we live 45 minutes away, it is well worth the drive.

Had a lovely meal this evening. Went early evening for the £ an Ounce night and had the best steak we've had anywhere. The pub obviously gets really busy but the staff were very attentive and friendly throughout. Bonus was that we were able to take the dog.

The service was very good, the guy taking orders and serving, was friendly, polite and informative. We both had the lunch time fillet steak this visit, it was amazing. Can't fault anything, definitely booking again.

We all enjoyed our Sunday dinner. We felt the meal required more gravy as there was non on the meat or Yorkshire. On receiving the bill we had been charged an additional £5. We felt this was excessive. This would not stop us going again.

We always have an amazing meal at Ounce and this one didn’t disappoint. Delicious Sunday lunch and a lovely atmosphere.

Orderd a 16 ounce medium but came out more like medium rare , didn’t want to say anything to staff , but next time will order medium to well done so it should be how I like it just lightly pink not dark pink. Loved the garlic mushrooms need more of them 😋🤤

We have been before but not on a Tuesday. It was busy but not too noisy as no big parties. Waitress was very helpful but after drinks ordered and delivered it was a while before food order taken. We had the £1 an ounce offer and were recommended medium or above cooking. This we did and steak was tasty but definitely medium rare especially in the middle. Cheese board was more than enough for 2. Car park was full - unusual. Can we have coat hooks in the back area as well.

Five of us had a lovely evening, the service was great and we really enjoyed the food, will come back soon.

Just avoid the 2 person table by the toilet. Mistake vs the rest being excellent setup.

Great service , lovely staff . Went on the £1 per ounce deal ! Been many times to the Worcester ounce also . Only thing I will say , the last few visits here the steak has not been as tender as it used to be ! .

Lovely friendly staff who were very polite , we came on a recommendation from our friends who were not wrong ! The meal was absolutely amazing and very tasty , will be coming again soon

Very accommodating as the couple joining us for lunch we’re 30 minutes late due to flooding. Just a few pointers, the sources, mint and horseradish, arrived without tea spoons to serve. The wine that we ordered was just put onto the table, with the tops still unopened so we didn’t get asked to taste the wine. Does this happen when their is a cork involved !! Otherwise it was a very enjoyable afternoon. Rgds To all PB

Stupidly busy and overheated restaurant area, service response poor but staff very polite

Most of our group of 5 were happy with their choices but I was disappointed with my rib eye. Too fatty and sinewy.

Great food & ambiance. Will be going back at some stage.
