Ounce At Bishampton

We went early with our young daughter and was already busy for the Thursday night Chateaubriand night. It has a great atmosphere and the food is always spot on. Not really child friendly menu but then we do try to get our daughter to try new and different things, so she would share ours. Staff really try hard to do their best in the busy and quite noisy environment as it is a small cosy restaurant.

Good and service were excellent although they were a chef down and we had to wait a little longer, it was worth the wait and steaks were fantastic and staff were friendly will definitely go again

An enjoyable evening. Steaks were all flavoursome, lean and cooked to everyone's taste.

Tables close together very noisy but food good and no delay apart from waiting initially for menu and drinks.

Food was absolutely amazing! Most of our party went for the steak which was cooked to perfection for each one of us, whilst the one person had the seafood risotto which looked great, and was told tasted divine. Food is exceptionally good! Our waitress was great too , the only downside was the unrefined male attendant who took our drinks order with a very messy haircut covering most of his face. His lack of respect put a downer oh the evening by him calling us “lovelies” and other such terms. Each one of us found it misplaced and totally not in keep with the great atmosphere of the place. We also stated in the notes when the booking was made that we were celebrating a friend’s birthday, which wasn’t picked up on by any of the staff. They’ve missed an opportunity to make our evening special, but the excellent food made up for it. ☺️ keep up the good work! Mrs S.

visited with my family including 2 1/2 year old grandson. very friendly and welcoming staff. Food was very good, the beef was the best i've had in years, very well cooked. Great selection of drinks. We will be back!

Overall a good meal and value for money but my wife had a fair bit of gristle in her steak. Didn’t spoil the meal but took the edge off a bit.

1st time at this restaurant as usually go to the Worcester one. I must say, the food was amazing and such good value on the £1 per ounce evenings. Restaurant was busy so seemed loud but parking was a bonus.

Best steak I’ve had, better than in Worcester ounce ( is that bad of me to say) ( Worcester steaks are really good as well I would not choose one over another. Only thing was people sitting at bar being noisy but that’s a country pub for you. I had 24ounce butchers choice with mushrooms

the only negative thing i can say was the room we were sat in was very warm and could of done with some windows open to let some cool air through

Our server was very good. Enjoyed the meal alot. He even made our left Overs into birds made out of tin foil so we could take it away with us for later.

Excellent meal we went on the chateaubriand discount night I would never have paid full price £72 but it was delicious. Music was a bit loud and I wasn’t too keen on the fake animal heads on the wall…zebra, lion , giraffe but all in all an excellent meal

3 steaks very good, one steak returned as was very tough and chewy, steak was replaced with no fuss and also not charged, excellent service

Top tier food, service and atmosphere as always. Ounce is our number 1 place for a meal, we always cannot wait to come again. The staff are always so attentive and friendly. They remember where we prefer sitting and are on the case with anything you need. I couldn't fault them.

Whilst the food was excellent the service was slow. Table booked for 12.30 and we didn't get food before 1.30. With a toddler getting increasingly hungry for his lunch, this wasn't great.

Waited 15 minutes for our table which we had pre booked, several items on the menu not available which were not told about prior to ordering our food. No one came to clear the table or ask if we would like dessert so we decided to pay at the bar and leave. Sunday roast was very nice, however they had sold out of these by 5pm.

A Wednesday which is £1 an Oz , but we opted for the Dexter Sirloin ( wow wow wow) and the fillet steak both could be cut with a butter knife, both cooked perfectly with plenty of taste. Staff helpful and attentive, such a good experience I have booked for a family get together on Saturday.

Excellent beef ,but portions too big ,and judging by what seemed to be left on plates from other tables they felt the same . We had ours packed (An expensive way to feed the dog)

We all thought the staff had been trained really well, they were very professional.

Friendly and quick service, pleasant atmosphere although tables could do with more room around them. Food was excellent however blue cheese sauce to go with steak was a little bland and pricey.

Couldn’t be happier! Steaks were sooo tasty and perfectly cooked. Parmesan and truffle fries whats not to love? The staff were welcoming and efficient especially Charlie who was not only serving brilliantly but calmly training a new staff member throughout service. Will definitely be back!! I would highly recommend .
